O/T: Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2

Post#1 » by CeltsfanSinceBirth » Wed Nov 11, 2009 6:34 pm

Ok, so with this game, NBA 210k, and NBA Broadband League Pass, I'm pretty much set on never having to leave my house this winter.

Who else on the Celts board has this game? The single player campaign was kinda short (mind you I only played on regular the first go around, will try Hardened later this week). However, the multiplayer once again, is like crack-cocaine for my soul.

My gamertag for the 360 is S1EG. I suck, but holla if you feel like talking about the Celtics over a game of Headquarters. Oscar Mike.

I hope that game is dope, I've got some stock in activision. Personally I'm strictly a nba live 09/nhl 09 guy.

I love basketball and rarely ever watch hockey, but I am obsessed with EA's NHL games. NHL 10 >>> 09 though, for real. It's worlds better. As for Live, how is that game shaping up? I stuck with 2k10 for this year but I was curious to see what kind of strides Live was taking.

I heard the game is creepy & the Red Dawn of videogames- Russian paratroopers in the suburbs, gunning down civilians in airports - I'm glad you sickos aren't leaving the house this winter :D

Anyone try the demo for NCAA Basketball 2010?

My roommate got it the other night at the 12:00am release in Waltham. I haven't had the chance to play it yet since I've been busy the last few days but he pretty much echoed the statement above. While the game is amazing, he said the gunning down civilians in the airport made him sick to his stomach.

Between my two roommates that game hasn't turned off since midnight the other night. It's getting ridiculous. They are at level 30 I think

Yea I got Mw2 for PS3, The game is crazy good. I didn't think it would live up to the hype but I picked it up anyways and it was worth it.

I played the demo for live 10 and it took a stumble down the stairs ass backwards. 09 is great though, great online play, roster updates, my favorite live since 05' or 06'. Ditto on nhl 09', I just started playing like a month ago and it's got almost a fifa feel to it, though I haven't played fifa in like 6 years. Can't shoot for ish though.

This game is a lot more nuanced than I thought on first glance. If anyone knows me they know how I hate imperialism/the military industrial complex, but the game really comes off as people being manipulated (american troops manipulated by SPOILER, south american rebels manipulated by makarov etc).

Smarter game than I thought.
