Re: Antonio Daniels On Cavs Radar
The main reason we dont need Daniels is because of how well Boobie has played. 8.7 ppg and 50% shooting from 3 is great production out of a backup PG, especially considering the shocker of all shockers Boobie has been playing some pretty damn good defense. Lets not let Boobie's injury prone season from last year cloud our judgement. I expect big things from him this year.

Maybe the light has gone on late for Boobie, but I still remain unconvinced that he will sustain this effort. A few good games followed by long periods of mediocrity. I would also like to reiterate the wisdom in signing Antonio Daniels given Delonte West's legal, personal, and mental problems that continue to occur. It is a low risk, high reward move IMO. If West comes along and Boobie is finally a solid performer for the Cavs you can always release Daniels. Why not take a flyer>?

Boobie played well before being injured last year? Unless you're talking about his one good series in the NBA finals, Boobie has never been a consistent contributor. I hope he can get it together, but as the years pass I become more skeptical.
I was ridiculed for bashing Ferry's resigning Varejao, but unfortunately I am being proven right. I said that I would not give Varejao more than 2 million a year. On almost any other team, he is a backup energy hustle type guy. He is not a starter and is NOT worthy of money close to a mid-level exception. The argument for Varejao is that we would not have the size to compete, but if he is bad defensively, bad offensively, and a mediocre rebounder what do you really have? Lebron James can play the four if necessary. It is just a bad move because no one is going to be willing to take that contract. The biggest problem with Cleveland sports is that they fall in love and make excuses for bad management. Danny Ferry needed to go last year, but we will continue to drag this on. When you have a player like Lebron James, it is inexcusable for a GM to continually botch free agency and the draft.
