I don't mind this loss at all. We all knew it was gonna happen. But there are some things that keep happening every game that can't happen.
Booz crowding his man 20 feet from the basket.
Brewer with his horrible shooting, free throw shooting and defense getting 35 minutes a night.
Kosta and Fes getting no time while our 3 "best" bigs are getting abused and being lazy on defense.
Matthews playing great, but not getting enough playing time.

- Probably the worst Okur game ever in a Jazz uni
- Which is this game Brewer is playing? Is it basketball?

So I really don't like that we played Deron at ALL in this game. I wanted them to sit him for the whole game. I mean, 90% that this is a loss anyway, so why not let him rest until Fridays game, where we have a chance to actually win. Look at his stat line, he was far from 100%. I just don't understand. I know we were hard up for PG play, but it wouldn't have mattered anyway.

One thing I actually liked about this game was how Sap played. His stats don't look great, other than rebounds, but for the first time this season, I thought he played as hard as he did last year.

AK with another solid game. Okur looking like a slow tall white guy again. Boozer can't play teams with any kind of length. It was apparent when Jerry benched him in the first quarter that he just can't do anything with it, mainly on defense. I still can't believe he got a grand total of 2 rebounds. Sheesh...

This year western conf. is really weak. I don't want to make any conclusions until January - February.

Has anyteam ever had the 1st and 2nd pick? I'm not fully jumping ship, but if this team gets to the playoffs it's one round only. CJ will have to really make the jump for this team to be any good and I doubt he will.

The lack of effort from several of our players is just inexcusable. This team is on the freeway going in reverse. We have become the new New York Knicks. Its time to blow it up, management included.

What else did you expect last night? Anybody who legitimately thought we were gonna win is borderline delusional. You gotta be realistic, we aren't the New York Knicks, i think we're the New Orleans Hornets, rough start, but we'll find our way and stumble into the 7-8 seed of the playoffs.

Rigby said himself that they aren't going to make a move "for the sake of making a move". Jazz are standing pat and waiting this season out.

As long as the fans spend hard earned money on the Jazz' product they have no need to change anything.

Still pretty sure we make the playoffs. I wish we WOULDN'T, though, since I far prefer getting a top 10 pick to making the 7 or 8 seed and picking 18th just so that we can get embarrassed in the 1st round.

+1, except for the part about making the playoffs. I predict 42-46 wins, which may not be enough. Jazz usually benefit from a strong start in spite of whatever difficulties they be be dealing with (injuries, etc.). This year is different, and team cohesiveness likely will not improve a great deal- too many agendas distracting too may players. We'll see, should be interesting. In any case, I too would rather have the lotto pick.

The best part of this game was sometime in the fourth quarter (I think), this dude in the upper level was wearing a Kobe jersey and he had like three or four whole sections booing him.

I've got a better idea. Let's trade Boozer for nothing...

Why? Cap'n Jack has a terrible contract and can be a chucker. If we're going to take on a terrible long-term contract for an aging guard, at least bring in Rip Hamilton.

Of course I think either move is a mistake. With each loss trading Boozer becomes more and more likely, simply because I don't believe the Millers will pay luxury taxes for a mediocre team, and trading Boozer is the most likely way to chip away at the payroll.

Well I'll admit, I doubt the Jazz would ever bring in Jackson - but his contract is only 2 more years (far as I know..) and it would replace some of boozers offensive game + he can play defense much better than 'nailed to the floor' boozer..plus good chance golden state would take really anything to get rid of him at this point.

BUT yeah I doubt it - i'm just frustrated like everyone else. Even in today's paper, reporters are asking Sloan if he's going to start Milsap over Boozer now. D Will is questioning some people taking shots publicly now (without names).

Basically i'm at the point of thinking we either trade boozer+harpings contract now or wait close to the trade deadline because this team needs a jolt of change. A forward who can actually dribble and play some defense would help.
