Steve Nash is not better than John Stockton

Post#1 » by Alymero » Thu Nov 12, 2009 6:51 pm

Hate to be brutally honest, but with his best accomplishments no dount behind him as it pertains to a very unlikely NBA finals berth, I'd definitely put John Stockton higher up on the totem pole than Steve Nash.
After call, Stockton was a tough as nails little workhorse out on the hardwood that hardly ever wore down, and he has two NBA (western conference) championship rings to show for his efforts and many divisional titles. Basically, all Nash has is two MVP crowns and countless post-season failures to reach the NBA finals.
Of course, that 2007 Suns team was for sure going to win-it-all had Horry not tackled Nash causing a painful suspension of your key players who left the bench costing you the series.

Since when did players get championship rings for getting to the Finals?

If you didn't already know, the losing team in the NBA finals get rings, too for winning their conference. There commonly refered to as the loser rings.

Alymero, is there a special reason you came to troll the Suns board, or are you especially interested in getting banned before you get to 100 posts?

I was gonna say...

Where did anyone go off saying Nash > Stockton? If anything out convo's are regarding Nash and KJ. There's a reason for the player comparison board. When you come to the Suns board, you either bring it strong to the hole or don't bring it at all.

You sir, should have done the later.

I'm prepared to call Nash the best white pg if he can actually win-it-all. So, I'm throwing down the gauntlet and challenging him and Suns to a magical season of monumental proportions.

Man, I may not believe in Phoenix's defense or think they're going to win the title with this unit, but there's no cause for people from out of the board to come in and start random crap like that. I LIKE Phoenix, and I'm not even just a global here, I'm a freaking board mod. I'm not putting up with this garbage on MY board.

Aly, listen to what I said. If you push this thread, I'm going to push to have you suspended for trolling. Consider this a public warning.

I wanna see Nash do good, but only a fool would think he has enough left in the tank to get it done at 36 without beinmg traded to one of the big three. However, hope springs eternal, right?

Call me a fool then.

But you, sir, should listen to Mr. Sherkin.
