So how many Sun Devils are left in this league?

Re: Suns officially cost Byron Scott his job
Aside from waiving Chris Paul outright, this is the dumbest way to go about fixing their problems.
This team isn't good enough to have "quit" on Byron, their problem is that they are just bad (Paul excepted, and West likes to start slow anyhow).
But come on... this is a stall tactic from a terrible ownership/management group and we all know it.

Said it last night in the chat room and I'll say it again here.
I think his "still bleeding purple and gold" was a sure sign he saw this coming. He didn't look at all interested in anything the team was doing last night. Did he even get out of his seat?
Expect to see his name pop up when discussing anything to do with the coaching staff of LA.

As they say: easier to change coaches than change players. I do think that their "core" -- namely Paul and West -- had basically decided not to listen to him much anymore.

Re: Suns officially cost Byron Scott his job
Holy F. I was only 1/2 joking about Scott gone by ASW and 1/2 realistically expecting it. If we can get a former COY fired in 9 games, how did it take half a season to get rid of a rookie coach (Porter)?
Honestly Scott is a good coach it's just the rest of the team that is stinking it and their FO not bringing in help. This really started last season when they tried to get rid of Chandler imo. I thought Chandler had held a grudge against them since they tried to move him when he and Paul were doing so well together. I cannot back their decision to fire Scott, he's one of the better coaches in the league and there's nobody in the market now that can do a better job than him.
Horrible decision

Twitter from ESPN's Marc Stein:
"Our own @ricbucher reports that the Hornets are adding head coach to GM Jeff Bower's duties and bringing in Tim Floyd to be top assistant"
Wow, making the GM sleep in the bed he made. And adding a disgraced college coach ... again? Hmm.

This is the illusion of movement equating to action - NO is just a terrible management situation.

I tend to think he wanted out myself. Once he made that "bleeding purple and gold, and always will" statement, it was over. Question is, did he see something coming, or create his own exit?

Raw deal or not, I don't think he wanted to be there in the first place. He probably asked them to fire him. Maybe not literally, but just about everything else he was doing pointed to it.
edit: realsunsfan, I think he made it.
