About time really. Wasn't useful on the team and that was an all out loose end that needed to be tied a long time ago.

I guess we'll have to wait to find out the details about what "parting ways" means. Waived or buyout.

Re: Jaric and Grizz Now Divorce
Buyout seems more likely by 80/20 % as no team is in the market for his dimensioning services and skills. The Grizz would have to take on a longer term contract or an even inferior talent than he is.
Dallas could be willing to part with Carroll and spare parts for him as they need a backup point w/experience.
Minnesota has two guys Mark Blount and Antonio Daniels that are allowed to seek trades, but we don't need a fifth center and we would have to sweeten the pot to obtain Daniels who would fit perfectly for the Grizz.

If Monta isn't interested in sharing the court with Curry, I can't imagine the idea of Mayo, let alone AI, would do anything for him either...
Nice thought though.

Re: Jaric and Grizz Now Divorce
Portland can do better: Blake/Outlaw for Conley Jaric
Blake has a history of playing well with Iverson/Gay type of players and Outlaw gives you guys some leverage in the Rudy Gay contract negotiations and adds another scorer for you who's local.
Of course I'm not sure if Portland would do that w/o first seeing how Miller fits, how Rudy/Roy are working out, and if Martell's healthy.
If we could find a way to get Marc too that'd be really great.

LMAO.
Rest of the offer was fine. Grizz are too hunkered up and in love to part with Conley though.
In regards to Marc, Portland wouldn't be willing to part with what he's worth IMO.

Re: Jaric and Grizz Now Divorce
I really don't understand why Crittenton and Jaric were not brought into the games earlier in the season last year. that could have made a huge difference in their seasons. Jaric was god awful once he got playing time but that is typical sometimes when a guy out of the rotation is finally brought in and he's cold and performs way below his potential.
Some problem beyond just Jaric was at fault last season. but as an individual perhaps more of it can be his own responsibility than that of the management. Obviously management had significant problems as Grizzlies failed to improve from the previous season and squandered top level talents like Javaris Crittenton (and possibly more).

Crittenton isn't a top level talent, and you don't take any minutes from the young players on a team that isn't going anywhere just to give them to Marko Jaric.

Re: Jaric and Grizz Now Divorce
So is Jaric not on the roster?
Is he in limbo so his contract available for a trade?

Re: Jaric and Grizz Now Divorce
he was told to stay away from the team. I think he was abusive in language towards the coaches and angry last year.
very smart move to bring in Marcus Williams out of the Puerto Rico YMCA leagues in his place.

His off court issue is far more famous than his on court performance.
