Either him, or just have Lucas take over. But Sterling won't do that when Dunleavy still has 2 years left.

About anyone would be a great replacement for Dumbleavy but like Pandam00nium said, Dunleavy still has two more years left on his contract and Sterling really likes him.

Therefore we're stuck with him... :(

I wanted Byron Scott as our coach right after he got fired as the Nets coach
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

So let me get this right: After two consecutive winning seasons and subsequent playoff berths, the Hornets (3-6) fired Byron Scott, whereas the Clippers (3-6) have had one winning season and one playoff berth during Dunleavy's 6-yr reign, yet he remains coach. Life ain't fair.

as long as Baron is here, I can't see Scott being here... their time in N.O. didn't end well

I wish I knew because if he hasn't been fired already, I don't think he'll be removed until his contract expires. Only the Clippers would keep a head coach, who is probably the worst in the league, because of his contract. Any organization would've fired him already, but not the Clippers.

My only suggestion is to be heard and lead a protest outside Staples Center before and after games to "Fire Dunleavy." If enough people do it and the local media pick it up, then that would definitely be a good start. Watching Staples almost half-empty at our home games so far this season tells me that the revolt has already started against Dunleavy. I am a Clipper fan first and foremost, but I would not pay a single dime to watch a team coached by Mike Dunleavy. He is just that bad and by the look of things around Staples, it looks like I'm not the only one fed up. Please Dunleavy, step down and bring in someone who can lead this team!! You are not the one to do it!!

Scott or Mo Cheeks would be fantastic. Cheeks would have us run an up-tempo system too, like he did with the Sixers?!

Surprised he got canned so early into the season. It's just sad knowing that we'd be so much better if we had a new coach, yet there are no signs that Dunleavy is gonna get fired.

Upon hearing the news, the immediate thought was, "hmmm, the team that drafted him could sure use him." The downside is that GM Dunleavy and Coach Dunleavy are pretty tight with each other, and our pg doesn't have the greatest relationship with Scott. I'm still hoping Lucas will take over at some point. I think Scott has been made scapegoat numerous times, so I'd like to see him get a chance elsewhere sooner than later.

Dunleavy will be here for the rest of his contract. Sterling will not fire him.

The best thing we can do is just hope Dunleavy steps down and becomes out full time GM. He's done a pretty good job. If he focuses on being the GM and hires a great coach, we might be able to sign a big time free agent next summer.

Call me crazy but I think Sam Cassell would be a great coach. He can motivate and talk to players and he knows the game. He would be cheap too which Sterling would love. I believe Sam is an assistant with the Wiz.

I wish our braintrust was smart enough to bring him in but I realize that Dumbleavy Sr's pride might get in the way.

Like mkwest and Pandam00nium said I also want Lucas to take over, but I like Byron Scott too.

He was fired because everyone on the team except Chris Paul hates his guts. David West said they don't even run plays. Scott delayed a team flight because he was playing golf and they said enough is enough.

I'm all for canning Dunleavy but we do not want Byron Scott as a replacement.
