I'd take him back. He's a solid player and he'd give us a certain degree of flexibility moving forward. He's a good role playing SG within a starting lineup or could play a sixth man SG/PG role fairly well. In the hypothetical situation where we were able to swap Ray for a really solid big man, he would be an important pick up.
Yeah, there are off court question marks, but that's why his value is at a low point. Gotta take the good with the bad.

Re: Delonte West
I never saw what was so funny when he spoke except trying to understand him and I never thought his "art" was worth mentioning, maybe if he was a grade schooler, but he played hard every night and was serviceable at a time when we lacked much of anything for offense.
I don't buy into the idea that our development team was responsible for him staying sane with the C's, stuff happens with dementia over time..I think the money and his very shaky history have combined to do him in.
Leon came from a bad background and he's a rock.

Re: Delonte West
I'm a big Delonte fan, I don't even care so much that he's had some issues as I think he'll get them under control. But I really don't see how getting him back improves this team, he's a slightly better shooter than Marquis but everything else he does Marquis does better.
I for one thought Delonte was hysterical in interviews when he was here and was a guy that left it all out on the floor every night. He's got a ton of heart, hopefully he'll get the help he needs.

You wonder if Ainge knew he had issues when he was traded. Many wondered why he was sent out instead of TA or anyone else.

Not a chance. I think it may even be better for Delonte to sit out the rest of the season and get his life together. Otherwise I fear we will be reading his name in the obituaries. He has some issues to work out and being on the Celtics wont fix them. He needs help.

because no team in the NBA wants TA.
