I generally agree that it's highly unlikely that LeBron will come to Minnesota. But let's not confuse the Wolves with a gimpy Jefferson and an injured Love while our rookie PG is learning the triangle with how good the team will be at the end of the year. LeBron is possible simply because we are chock full of assets to get him and another player with.

Gomes + Sessions + Brewer + Rubio + 2 draft picks could be traded for an all star player on a rebuilding team (with a little cap space to boot). Say, to Indiana for Granger? We keep our 1st round pick this year (not tradable) and that's another core piece (top 5 in this draft will be good).

The Wolves could all of a sudden have a legit team for Lebron to join. If the price was right, anyway.

I was thinking the same thing last night. MIN doesn't have to be winning now, but by the time of the decision, they need to be a team on the rise and with a lot of hype.

Take POR 16 months ago. Roy, Aldridge and Oden were what everyone was talking about. These young players looked like they'd be world-beaters, and they were loved by experts everywhere.

Their record? 41-41.

If the Wolves can show legitimacy with their young team in the second half, they may look more appealing to these young elite players.

speaking of free agents, I'm quite glad we didn't go hard after Marvin Williams. He's been quite terrible so far.

I never understood the Marvin Williams love on here. Josh Smith off to a great start though.

Marvin has been fine this year, he's been rebounding ok and playing good defense. He's just been in a shooting slump, and as the 5th option on that team, I don't think he gets as many opportunities to shoot his way out of it.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.
