That's a great chart. They say the release should be around 4 seconds and 28 of his 37 sacks have been under 4 seconds so 76% of the sacks roughly you could pin on the offensive line.

Here's the big one to me though. He has nine sacks that you could probably blame on him. He also has nine sacks where he's had 2.5 seconds or less before he was sacked.

That tells me the offensive line is a huge problem and needs to be addressed big time in the offseason.

I still blame Rodgers.

It's not just holding onto the ball. It's pocket awareness. A few times he has had lanes to step right, instead he would back into a rusher.

You really need to look at each play individually. That 8 second sack, I don't remember but he didn't lose any yards. It's better to hold onto the ball in that situation than throwing it away.

IMO, the best way is too look at these statistics at sacks of more than 5 yards and over 4 seconds, which he had 7 of this season. Those are pretty much a guarantee to be his fault for not throwing it away.

The 8 second sack he was flushed out of the pocket and scrambled back just short of the line of scrimmage.

I think its everyone's fault (Rodgers, Oline, coaching, wrs). It also seems that Rodgers sometimes becomes too stationary and isnt always great about evading the pass rush. There are also a lot of times when he has open running lanes and doesnt take advantage of that. I think its just a maturation process. In the long run, its probably better that he is getting this experience now so he can be better suited to deal with pass rushes in the future when the Packers are actually good.

Aaron Kampman missed practice for the third straight day due to the concussion he sustained last Sunday at Tampa Bay, meaning it's highly likely that rookie Brad Jones will make his first NFL start at left outside linebacker on Sunday against Dallas.

Interesting choice of Jones

Yea it's looking like Thompson won't amount to anything, i don't recall him taking a single snap on defense this year. If a nobody like Poppinga in getting snaps over you, that is a very bad sign. As for Jones, i'm curious to see him play. I liked some of the video clips i saw of him from Colorado after we drafted him, i would be a huge boost if Ted found a very underrated kid with that pick. The 7th round was extremely kind to Wolf between Driver, Tauscher, Timmerman, and Keith McKenzie. TT has has some success in the 6th round, it would be a massive help if a 7th rounder like Jones became a quality player.
