Kobe maximizing his abilities. Better shot selection

Post#1 » by B-Scott » Fri Nov 13, 2009 9:36 pm

Its been a minute since i've been on here but had to just say this is the best and most efficient i have ever seen Kobe play. Mainly to his posting up more and always looking for the high percentage shot. Even when he has a open 3 he still finds a way to back his man down and get a better quality shot. Iv'e never seen Kobe be this consistent with the quality of his shot selection.

Man it's either gonna snow here in LA or B-Scott fell in love with a new honey who grounded him! What up B!

Anyway you're right his selection is amazing at the moment. His post game is making it easier for him to operate meaning he still has his "legs" if he needs to shoot the J. Right now Kobe is just slicing teams apart like a machete.

I never hated Kobe. Just thought he could take better shots. The ability was always there. Maybe it was just maturity. But his post game is ridiculous right now. Kinda like MJ's in 1996 but Kobe is younger.

Tee no disrespect homie, but this thread is for the Vet posters on here since you dont know the love and hate relationship B-Scott has had with Kobe and most of us older posters in these past few years.

Hell a cool poster and a bro but we all have a history with him and most peps that are new dont have a clue about it.

no worries, i dont post in realgm much mostly in the scouts.com. Theres a guy named "loyalbull" that will give this guy a run for his money. Hes prolly the best kobe hater but has a secret love fest for him deep down inside. He actually gives factual stats and statements to warrant his hate. Hes soo good at it...if you argue with him basically means youre wrong.

Never had a problem with B-Scott beefing on Kobe's shot selection. Half the time I was joining him.

The problem I had was blaming Kobe categorically for Lamar's flaws -- no offensive game, inconsistency -- instead of putting it where it belonged. Whenever Lamar no-showed, or underperformed, it was Kobe's fault because he didn't force feed him the rock to get him going. That argument got old, fast because it showed a fundamental misunderstanding of the type of player Lamar is.

Lamar as your second-best player gets you knocked out in the first round. Lamar in a complementary role as your third- or fourth-best and you're competing for championships.
