Hopefully, Boozer has figured out whatever was wrong with him..... And Maynor, looks like he did a great job running the offense......

By Boozer I hope you meant Millsap? Boozer has looked good for the last 4 games or so, Maynor on the other hand wow.. He impressed me tonight, only made a couple of rookie mistakes, but for the most part ran the team well. The most impressive tonight for me though was Ronnie Brewer. I've been getting down on him but he stepped up and ran the team when Maynor was out and they didn't miss a beat. I didn't expect that.

Wes Matthews is a whole other subject.. He continues to impress.

Yeah Maynor was great. He blocked on a layup, so the next time around he pulled up from around the free throw line on a fast break. Throughout the game I honestly didn't even miss Deron, Maynor ran the offense as smooth as any vet could of, ofcourse it helps when the team is shooting in 55% range from the field, but maybe he helped situate open shots. Regardless, he filled in perfectly for Williams, everybody played great.

Did you guys notice that Sloan actually made some good timeouts when Philly went on some little runs? We need to keep up the coaching mentality of tonight.

The key to this game was just that we ran our system.

Nice game, Maynor and Mathews put up some nice numbers for you tonight. I see on the wiretap why Dwill stayed behind, any word on his daughters condition? It is rare that a player gives a statement like that when it comes to a family emergency, I thought it was pretty classy the way DWill thanked everyone for his being absent.

Here it is:

Deron Williams left the Jazz and missed Friday night's game to attend to a family matter.

He released the following statement.

“I would like to thank Mrs. Miller, Greg Miller and Coach Sloan for allowing me to return to Utah to be with my wife and children today. Yesterday, one of my daughters underwent a procedure in the hospital to address some health concerns. There are still unanswered questions and the doctors have been running more in-depth tests throughout the day today. My daughter’s health is very important to my wife and I and it is important I remain in Salt Lake City as we monitor the situation. We both appreciate the support of the fans, the Jazz organization and my teammates. I will return to the court as soon as possible.”

Does this mean he's going to the Lakers?

Not really cause his daughter is being treated in Utah.

Different circumstances and lifestyles bring people to different places. We should not be so low as to compare Derek's, Carlos's or Deron's love for family to each other.

Yeah, Philly is not a hostile environment. I believe we've won every game there since 2001 except the blizzard game in March, 2007. They are dead last in the league, averaging under 12,000 people per game.

Maynor, I mean what can you say? His only two TO's were carries , not bad passes (like D-Will), and carries are easy to avoid. But the real test will be tonight.

Big numbers for everyone tonight, but we are just too big for the Sixers. I don't recall seeing them in a zone tonight, but I doubt that it would have made a difference. Their radio post game show was hilarious, the host was just making fun of Brand and Sammy the whole time. Wait wait wait, don't be talkin about Brand like that. Dude got two rebounds tonight! And you're not happy with that?

Anyway, this was the last of my three game road trip. 2-1 Record is okay. I drove about 1,100 miles total to three games this week, so suck on that fair-weather pro-tankers. This team will be fine. In other news, Knicks lost, Rockets lost, and the Lakers got killed, which isn't good, but at least we didn't get hammered that bad in Denver.

Good to see the team responding to D-Will's comments about being soft, especially without him. Hope everything turns out ok with his daughter.

Oh yeah and I got on the jumbotron tonight. I was in the corner about 10 rows behind these dudes dancing on the fan cam, but it was still awesome.

DWill commented about how impressive the Celtics execution was ... everyone sharing the ball and seven players in double figures. Hope he watched the Utah Celtics last night and took notes. Best wishes to the Williams family and the health of their young daughter.
