The Lakers were very lucky last season with him remaining healthy, and the luck has run out. I'm not sure why people would be surprised. It's safe to say that Garnett is not 100% yet and Davis hasn't played a game yet. Celtic fans can make the same claim.
But Celticfan1980, that's the exact point I'm making.........neither team is at full strength yet. Any smart basketball guy ( and it ain't that many on RealGM) would know that all the contending teams for what ever reason didn't start their season's at full strength.

And Gasol only had one injury that side lined him for a long time in Memphis, that was a ankle injury he had. He's only missed 72 games in his 8 seasons. But at any rate your right he's missed games but I wouldn't say he injury prone that distinction belongs to guys like Yao, T-mac and Grant Hill, guys that could never stay healthy. Gasol has only missed 17 games in the last 2 seasons. Saying the luck has ran out is a bit of a big big reach.......c'mon CFan1980 I know you're much smarter than that.

That tells me you may be looking for the escape route to a title! I'm just saying.

The Celtics didn't play badly.

They executed on offense and defense. But we just looked old and KG looks hobbled.

It's perfectly reasonable to correlate that to "it happens" since the Lakers looked like a D-league team against the Nuggets tonight. Another thing we know isn't likely to happen.

If you took one game sample sizes of tonight. You'd think the Celtics are a good team of injured 50 year olds and the Nuggets played around with the Lakers giving them hope till the start of the second half then decided to win the game.

Brah we played like ish last night and we flat out sucked. No biggie, chalk it up as L and we'll learn from our mistakes. Oh well Denver was the better team.

Exactly.

I don't think any LA management are thinking OMG noooess we have serious problems if DEN can beat us like we did last night.

Same way the fans on this board shouldn't be using this game as a sign we're doomed.

BTW have the Celtics lost by more then 10 points this season yet? I think it's all been single digits.

I can't wait till we finally do. This board is going to have 50 new threads.

8-2 and we need a "don't worry" thread. Yup, this is Boston.

You guys ride like your team just a bunch of sore losers, some of your post are just laying granades egging us on, and it works obviously.

How soon you forget Pau is resting up that hammy, our second best player.

The C's right now look old honestly, and unless the guys are banged up or a case like KG, maybe he's not 100% in gameshape yet, or that knee is not right, who knows, but the supposed showdown in the final isn't looking near as clear.

Sure the Lakers looked like crap vs. DEN, but the Lakes have way more upside then Metamusal East.

Nice Rondo signing Ainge you were not to far from the max contract why not max him out?

This guy, uggh.

Davis hasn't played yet? What football?

Comparing Davis' comeback value to Gasol's is like comparing dirt clods to diamonds.
