We had no right to win that game. We played like crap.

Last year we'd have won that by 30

It probably was a low blow, but just think back a couple years and it's a completely accurate description.

games like this happen, two tough roadies in a row this week that we win and then we come home and get caught in what other sports would refer to as a "trap" game. At least we pulled out the win and we have a few days off before a week of wonder (GS and Philly at home, Washington and Indiana away).

Eric Maynor was a stud guard from VCU who is like their all time leading scorer and led them to 2 tourney runs the last 3 years including that time they beat the 2 seed Duke. So yes, him shooting the ball like that, pretty normal...

LeBron wasn't off nor was he being held to anything. He was being passive on offense and frankly if you look at my comments they are largerly echoed by Windhorst.

• There must be some sort of movement within the team to get J.J. Hickson as many points as possible. The Cavs have set him up for numerous alley-oops but at times it seems like they are forcing it. Meanwhile, LeBron is working fairly hard on defense but isn't showing much interest at all on offense. He got his first free throw of the game with 3:11 left in the third on a breakaway. He's not looking for himself at all in the halfcourt

• The Cavs seemed to be cruising and held the lead for the entire game until some shaky defense and a push from Carlos Boozer put the Jazz ahead in the final two minutes. But then James woke up from a malaise to score the team's last eight points to get the Cavs to a victory. He was one of six players in double figures.

Anyone that watches the Cavs would know that the they were coasting. In each of the last few games they had and maintained about a 5 point lead from beginning to end largely because They didn't appear to be interested in pushing their lead out and finishing the other team.

My point was that the LeBron was working too hard in trying to set up Hickson and not looking for his own offense at all. Sure, we won, but there is no way that this is how the team is going to be able to win games later in the season.

Like Outlaw said, LeBron wasn't off, LeBron was coasting. He simply take some games off.

setting up players and playing defense and well scoring the final 8 points isnt coasting its smart basketball.to say lebron take games off is insane that means he doesnt try hard or want to win on certain nights.

Oh, of course he does want to win. But he wants to do it with minimum effort possible.

I also thought it was smart but we almost lost that game. When LeBron draws his first foul in the 45th minute of the game you know that he's coastin'. Still he could've easily made 13-14 assists, amazing.

What I find amusing is that there's a Magic fan posting over in the Utah game thread complaining about the reffing in this game. His comment about the refs not allowing anyone to guard LeBron just makes it obvious that he didn't watch the game.

Talk about having an unhealth fixation with another team.
