What's the worst about these kinds of games is that you're one or two phantom D-Wade calls / non-calls (made throughout the course of the game) away from a win....

I didn't watch the game(thank god I didn't) but again Terrence Williams goes 3-11. He's shooting under 33% for the season and get the feeling he's the type of player that focuses on his own stats first, team second. I say this because I can;t count the times I've seen the dude run from the perimeter and jump in and take the rebound away from one of our own players even if the opponent is nowhere near the ball.

Lopez/Battie
Yi/Boone
CDR/Hayes
Lee/Dooling
Harris/Alston

With Hassell backup both the SG/SF spots.

I don't know the problem with Williams is that he's kind of free to do whatever he wants right now, someone needs to step up and be a disciplinarian.

I said the same thing. It's just something about the way he plays/him that screams to me that he's not a team player.

There's been quite a few of these-types of games this season, believe it or not. Of course, they're not all in the same "three point shot with a second to go, putting a dagger in the hearts of fans around the country" category, but some of them were pretty bad. Most of the time, the Nets just let the game slip through their fingers in the second half/fourth quarter.

What i dont understand is why arent the defensive players not in the game? Frank should've put SWill against Wade, Hassell against Q-Rich, TWill against Cook, Brook against Haslem and Boone against Beasley. He should've let SWill played SF just for that moment. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I dont man, im getting confused as well... =(

Stat of the night:

Sean Williams scored 12 points tonight. The most in 21 months, when on february 10th he scored 15. That's right, Sean hasn't scored in double figures in 21 months.

During those 21 months, Sarah Palin and Twitter became household names, Barack Obama won the Democratic Candidacy, Won the Election, became president, and has been president for 19% of his term.

During those 21 months we've had 2 complete baseball seasons, 2 different NBA champs and 16 coaching changes.

The last time Sean Williams scored in double figures our roster looked like this:

Krstic/Boone/Magloire
Collins/S-Williams/Allen
Jefferson/Nachbar
Carter/Wright/Wesley
Kidd/M-Williams/Armstrong

Since then we have traded 7 of them, one has gone overseas, two retired and the remaining 3 have been on multiple NBA/Europe teams ever since.

The last time Sean scored in double figures; Shaq was in Miami, Mo Williams was still a buck, Brook Lopez was preparing for March Madness, Billups played for the pistons, T-Mac and Yao were playing side by side, Golden State was fighting for a playoff spot with Baron Davis leading the charge, Jermaine O'neil was a pacer and Isiah Thomas still coached the knicks.

That's right, It took him 642 days, 66 games he played in, an arrest and 7 injured players for him to reach double figures in a game.

So sick. I watched the full replay of this game without knowing the score and I called the loss.
Me and my friend were sitting there watching it and said to him, don't worry, Wade will win this at the buzzer with a three... :(

Heatbreaking loss, but there's a silver lining. What I've liked about the majority of nets games so far is that the nets have entered the last quarter (and more than half the time the last 4 minutes) within striking distance. They've also been pretty miserly on the defensive end (zoning seems to be pretty effective), although in the miami game there was way too many 2nd chance buckets given away.

Also Pretty impressive that they nearly held wade without a field goal in the 2nd half. Really didn't expect that last jumper from SWAT to drop.

I agree with what you are saying but are you honestly expecting double digit scoring from SWill? The guy is a bench player that is suppose to come in and give the team energy, rebounds and block shots. Anything more is a plus. He may be on a team next year for less then his current $1.6million. He could be on the Nets for less. I would re-sign him for less after all the FA stuff is taken care of and especially with another coach.

I don't even expect blocks from Sean anymore to be honest, I just found it interesting that all that time had passed since he scored in double figure.
