Devin Harris is a good player, but not the ideal running-mate for LeBron because he's a terrible jump shooter. Harris is not a guy LeBron can attack and kick to cause Harris has no range. I guess it could work if you had other shooters on the floor, but ideally I don't think Harris/LBJ is a good fit.
LeBron's whole game revolves around facing up, attacking the rim and kicking out. He can obviously do more than that, but that's the meat and bones of his game.
That said I don't think LeBron cares who his teammates will be when he chooses his next team. NY and NYJ both suck, but when you add LeBron you instantly become a playoff team and really not that far away from being a contender. Even if he stays with Cleveland he doesn't have that much around him. They will have to make moves like any other team.
When he arrives he will basically influence the moves needed and his new team will be in position within 2 years.
