Great great great game by the defense. Charles Woodson is a beast, Defensive player of the week. 8 tackles, 2 forced fumbles and a interception.
I loved the amount of pressure the defense got, seemed like every play someone was near the quaterback. Where was this defense all season?

But still too many penalties, 10 I believe, and the offense played very poorly.

5-4 and headed to San Fran. Let's get that wild card spot.

Have to win the next two before we can even start thinking about playoffs. D played amazing today, hopefully a sign of things to come. Need both the Niners/Lion games.

This is the defense that we saw in week one and hoped to see all year. No idea why it took another eight games to see it again. Now please, no letdowns ala last week, the next two weeks. We lose either one with Baltimore and Pittsburgh coming up, no shot at the playoffs.

Yep. Why does he grow great facial hair in the preseason, only to rob the team and the fans of it when the games matter? These types of things are important. Seriously.

The run defense was spectacular today against one of the most dominant offensive lines in the league. We got them in a lot of third and longs and were actually able to get pressure with our blitzes. I also thought Rodgers was great on the biggest drive of the game where we scored a TD to go up 10-0. He made a couple great throws on third downs to keep the drive going.

I can't believe Matthews only had one tackle, he was all over the place. And where was this defensive scheme in the two Minnesota games?

I wonder if not having Kampman in the game actually benefits us. I'd have to watch the game again to see what his replacements did, but no one can deny that he's looked lost as a LB this year.

Obviously you have the Packers and Niners
Giants vs. Falcons (Both 5-4)
Eagles vs. Bears (5-4 vs. 4-5)
Panthers (4-5) vs. Miami

I thought Jones did a pretty good job filling in for Kampman today. he made several nice plays. run D was stout, again. Jenkins and Jolly each had big games. and of course Woodson was outstanding

the play calling on offense was much better today. we ran the ball ok. we used a lot more shorter passes and screens rather than going deep every 3 plays. penalties and protection, however, are still a problem.

Special teams did better today, but still has a ways to go

Great job by the defense and finally the special teams were solid, but yet another penalty fest and the offensive line was their typical crappy self with to many pressures and five holding calls.

It's just hard to believe this team will be able to get on any kind of roll with that miserable offensive line

If TT can turn Kampman into a LT, this team might actually have some hope. Lang played pretty well and could be a long term answer at RT.

One nice thing about fighting for the 2 WC slots with Atlanta and the 2nd best team of Dallas/Philly/NY is that Atlanta is playing those teams and still has the Giants and Eagles coming up soon. Meanwhile, we can(hopefully) sweep the crappy West including Arizona who might be playing a meaningless game (for them) against us.

I think I'll be cheering for the Giants in the Atlanta/NYG game. Atlanta has 3 out of their next 4 games being tough and then creampuffs (Sanchez and the Jets suck and are included in that) the rest of the way. Meanwhile, the Giants have it fairly tough. Also, G-Men are 3-3 vs. the NFC and Atlanta is 4-3. Get Atlanta that 4th loss.

I also wouldn't mind one of the NFC East teams getting on fire and running away with it. Beating up on the other guys on the way. Maybe Philly could do that after this week and we'd hold the tiebreaker over Dallas.

Finally, if we could plan when to lay an egg, I'd like to see our two losses come vs. Baltimore and Blitzburgh. Aside from a tough setting in Soldier field, those are probably the two most likely anyways. Granted, maybe they shouldn't suck vs. Baltimore as notorioustj11 and I will be attending that game.

Anyways, I'd like to see their two losses come in those games so that our conference record is a solid 9-3 and we basically hold any sort of tiebreaker. Hell, we might have a ~5% chance of going 9-7 and squeaking in with an 8-4 conference record because Atlanta, and the #2 east team are all going to beat each other up.
