Turner could have a serious ankle injury. Tough break for him, but that severely weakens ATL's chances of winning one of the two Wild Card spots.

I woudnt get too excited. We had one of these wins last against Manning and the Colts where the defense played amazing. The O line is still terrible and its getting to a point where its affecting Rodgers internal clock. he seems pretty disoriented in the pocket

Was at the game: As a unit, this is the best our front seven has played. Brad Jones was quick, strong, aggressive, and instinctive. I really liked what I saw from him. Matthews is a monster. His strength makes a difference on every play. I saw him launch an offensive lineman 4-5 yards up field on 3 separate occasions. Barnett was pretty good and Hawk played one of the more physical games I can remember seeing him play. I think Raji is starting to stabilize that front a little bit by allowing them to spell guys more often.

The offense was still pretty ugly for the most part, but I was encouraged by some things. The play calling was better, and the offensive line battled against a much better front than they played a week ago. Give Rodgers credit for converting those two 3rd and longs on that 80 yard TD drive. He missed a few open receivers over the course of the game, but that's easy for me to nitpick about when I'm sitting comfortably in the stands with a great vantage point of the entire field.

MM's presser this morning:

Injuries: DE Cullen Jenkins (ankle), LB Desmond Bishop (ankle) and WR Greg Jennings (knee contusion) will likely only miss some practice time. FB John Kuhn broke his hand and they'll have to see what he can do.

Aaron Kampman should be back this week. Mark Tauscher will be tested today.

Brad Jones played "extremely well" for a rookie but Kampman is still the starter. McCarthy made that clear.

Like Jones' ability to get off blocks, make plays and he's really come on in special teams.

T.J. Lang "played well, graded out very well. I think he's a little bit more comfortable on the right side."
Jermichael Finley will practice on Wednesday.

They'll take the week to decide on who starts at right tackle.

"I really like how Dom put his foot on the gas and kept coming."

"Jeremy needs to punt better, he knows that. He needs to be more consistent on gamedays."

"I thought our defense flew around with three or four bodies around the ball each time."

B.J. Raji is getting healthy. He was clearly a different player with the ankle sprain. Now he's getting more familiar with the defense and techniques.

Brandon Chillar was supposed to be down but numbers got so bad at LB they needed him on an emergency basis. Should be back this week with the club.

Passed with 3:47 left "because we were trying to get a first down" in the four-minute offense.

Charles Woodson, Nick Barnett, Josh Sitton, Spencer Havner (special teams) and Desmond Bishop (special teams) got game balls.

On Nelson challenge, it was a time clock issue. It was close. They started the 40-second clock. Didn't feel he would be able to get the playcall. Tough to tell the spot. McCarthy said it makes a difference. Needed to take a timeout. "In hindsight, you probably don't want to do that."

On third challenge: "I made a mistake." Was supposed to get a 15-yard penalty.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I don't know the overall feel about Skip Bayless on the board (I don't like him all that much) but I was watching 1st and 10 this afternoon and he appears to think the Packers are going to the Super Bowl (his preseason pick). Probably an overreaction but it kind of reminds me of a few years ago when we swept Minnesota in the regular season but lost to them in the playoffs. They were talking about how hard it is to beat a team 3 times in one season. Could play out that way if we do indeed build onto this win throughout the season.

Sometimes I agree with Bayless and sometimes I think he's an idiot. I hope he's right about this, but there needs to be a lot of improvement first. I do agree with him that this Packer team is built much more for the long haul than anyone else in our division (something he said before we played the Queens for the second time).

Focus on beating SF before we talk about that nonsense.

That sting of the TB loss is still a little bit lingering, at least to me. But if we can beat SF and Detroit and find a way to knock off Baltimore on MNF, that sting will be erased. Good luck in having all of that happen, though.

That's basically what I was getting at, Skip seems to be a lot about over reacting to me, that's just what I took from his interview.

Until our offensive line gets their crap together (and after 9 games there is little indication that will happen), we aren't going anywhere.

Exactly. My opinion is that the NFL shifts a lot game by game. I think our defense is above average in general but Dallas got away from some things that made them successful and they missed a few big plays. Next week, San Fran could have a "big" day for them and put up 24 on us. And everyone will be asking why, since our defense was so stout the prior week.

I did see some very scary damage that probably won't improve a whole lot this year. We can't even run a route that goes longer than 2 seconds against a decent pass rushing team without 7 guys in to block, maybe 6 with the RB going out on a delay route after chipping a lineman. And this is against a 4 or 5 man rush from the defense.

2 damaging scenes for my confidence in this team going forward:

1: The camera angle showing Rodgers in the pocket. Gets the ball, 1, 2, 3 steps and as the back foot plants he looks straight down to his right and left to worry about getting the ball out or to scramble because of the rush already being an issue.

2: A few times the back camera angle on the replay showed us with 7 guys in to block and going 3 vs. 6 or 3 vs. 7 in the secondary. A literal blanket of defenders back there. That massive 3rd down conversion to Lee was in an overmatched set of receivers vs. secondary and Rodgers basically threw one of the best passes of his career to zip it into a 2 ft by 2 ft window between 2 defenders for a first down.

What I'm saying is, as nice of things as I've thought about this team, our crappy LT and having average guards is single-handedly going to take them from Super Bowl contender to being fringe playoff with minimal shot if they get there. Our run game becomes pedestrian and Rodgers becomes very limited going 3 on 6 with little time to throw every play.

It's amazing to me just how much reverberation there is with a terrible offensive line, I guess I haven't seen it this porous since I've been watching football to notice how much it can reek havoc on the entire offense. Maybe getting Finley back will give us another chip blocker back, or enable us to further use the West Coast offense.

Being at the game I didn't really notice the line that much. You could tell that there just wasn't a lot of time to throw and there was always a debilitating penalty. I actually was noticing the Cowboys line problems more than the Pack. Probably just because of how the field position game worked out to where we were sitting.

Anybody at the game experience any turdish Cowboy fans? The people sitting around us all seemed to be from Wisconsin who were either converted because of a family member or they moved from Texas.
