OT: Byron Scott Fired

Not a big surprise, the Hornets just quit on him and the teams looked pretty bad so far. But I don't think it was all Scott's fault. That roster is terrible, they have no depth, not alot of talent and an owner who's more concerned about saving money than winning. That teams only gonna go as far as Chris Paul is gonna carry them.

So who's the next coach to get the axe?

To be fair to Scott the Hornets SOS up to this point was fairly tough not to mention the key injuries incurred in last season to Chandler and Peja..The Hornets are kinda like the Wizards to an extent..They can't seem to catch a break with all the injuries..But still a hasty move to a team that had a fairly tough SOS to start the season and in the process of trying to integrate Okafor and Bobby Brown into the system..

They did have a tough schedule to start the season. But I think the writings been on the wall ever since last years playoffs against Denver and that disgusting performance they had at home (they lost by 60+ I believe).

I don't really think it's Scott's fault. That Hornets team just hasn't improve their talent level since we last met them in 2007. Atleast while all the other contenders make massive upgrades, they stay where they are hoping to improve from within. It isn't enough and it's showing.

Hornets were in a tough spot before the season started. They are in a no win situation now. The teams is always going to be competetive as long as C. Paul is there but I don't see them making the playoffs. Especially the way the Suns and Rockets have played.

Well I thought they're just going thru some season struggles.

I mean I thought Okafor put up good numbers. Paul is himself. It's David West's statistics that's surprising to me. He's been bad. If David West was his usual self, that itself is a huge improvement.

Byron Scott won't be out of job for long IMO. Perhaps not this season, but he'll get a deal next season. Too good of a coach not to.
