Pacers Psychic Predictions - NJN 11/17/09

Post#1 » by Miller4ever » Mon Nov 16, 2009 5:49 pm

Predict here. Sorry about not getting this up in time last game. If anybody wants to start prediction or Pacesetter threads, please, make my life easier and do it :P

So, the Nets are an extremely desperate team with no wins yet. Can we keep it that way?

BIG win against Celtics means nothing if we don't win the next two. Got to take it to the little guys. Seperate the MEN from the boys.

Wow, I've been busy for about a week and haven't been around. Sorry I missed the gamethread last Wednesday. Luckily I did watch the games, just not post. And the Pacers have looked good!

I'd feel a lot more sure about this game if the Nets were 1-9. I hate playing teams that are winless after 8+ games. They've gotta win sometime... but it won't be against us! Pacers by 12!

Let's see if this makes you feel more sure...

http://www.nba.com/pacers/news/preview_091117.html

"The Nets might be the only NBA team more banged-up than the Pacers. They're without Devin Harris (groin), Yi Jianlian (knee), Tony Battie (knee), Keyon Dooling (hip) and Jarvis Hayes (hamstring), while Indianapolis product Courtney Lee (groin) is questionable. "

If we don't win this game by at least the 14 that I'm predicting, then I will probably give up hope about us making the playoffs.

Wow, somehow I forget that Harris was hurt. Yes, that does make me more sure. I feel like Harris is a guy that could potentially single-handedly beat us-much like I think Granger or Durant can to any team. Looking at their starting line-up from Saturday it looks like guys who'd be coming off the bench. I don't know how Miami almost lost that. They are all still NBA players, though, so I would never assume a win, especially being a mid-tier team.

Teams tend to have letdown games after big, emotional victories so I am calling this to be closer than most....Pacers by 5

I mean...we lost our first three games. Anything can happen. They may just match up against us well, their desperation (like ours against he Knicks) may have them putting 120% into this game like we put against the Celtics. I think that we have a 75% chance of winning, and a 40% chance of winning by more than 14.

And we are making the playoffs no matter what.

We just beat Boston, so we're ready for a terrible game now.

I wanted to wait because I often guess too quickly, and homeristically.

Hopefully we don't have a let down after the big game against the C's, Pacers by 13.
