Gradkowski might start for Raiders

Cable spoke with Raiders owner Al Davis after Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Chiefs, and said he has been given the latitude to make his own decision - even if that means benching JaMarcus Russell for backup Bruce Gradkowski.

Even if Cable wants to start Gradkowski, it isn't that simple. Gradkowski came to work with a strained hamstring Monday after completing 5 of 9 passes for 49 yards with two interceptions Sunday. Cable said he is questionable to play, starter or not.

At this point, a rotting corpse could probably complete more passes than JaMarcus Russell. Having said that; Gradkowski still sucks pretty badly. Hell, give Frye a chance to see what he can do.

Yeah it this point I wish we still had Garcia, at least he's a steady veteran that would probably do decent here...
