Will the techs be rescinded?

Post#1 » by Kefa461 » Tue Nov 17, 2009 7:41 pm

If no logical reason can be given I would think so.........

The NBA reviews all technical fouls and flagrant fouls, so they will examine Kendrick Perkins' bizarre technical foul Saturday against Indiana, called by Joey Crawford. And they will also look at Doc Rivers' technical called 21 seconds later as he waved his hand in disgust and then walked back towards the bench, also called by Crawford.

"Yeah I got a response," Rivers said Saturday when asked if he received an explanation about Perkins technical. "(Crawford) gave me a tech. That was his response."

If it were any other team, they would be. Because it's the Celtics, the league won't do a damn thing...

This **** is ridiculous. I think its time to put Joey Crawford out to pasture. At least Perkins was on court when it happened. The NBA should have fired Crawford--not simply suspended him--after he gave Duncan that infamous tech.

Crawford's been reprimanded before. He needs to be tossed out of the league, only because it's obvious that he holds grudges against players he's not too fond of. I still remember him kicking out Tim Duncan because he was laughing on the bench.

It so obvious that some of these refs are attempting to control the game too much, which is why I find it surprising that the Donaghy book story isn't a bigger one. The guy admitted to have been controlling the outcome of games (in fairness it was after being caught) mentions other names and yet everything get swept under the rug, great job Stern. Some of these guys believe they are superstars themselves e.g. Joey Crawford, yet they are still allowed to ref in the league. I wish they would have stayed with the replacements at least for half the season to see how it went!

My refs that need to go list:

Javie, Bavetta, J. Crawford, Mauer, Bill Kennedy (guy that Doc got fined), Salvatore, Eddie F. Rush, Violet

The fact that I know these names off the top of my head is pitiful.

which could be exactly the reason why he's not going anywhere. the league has certain guys who have done them favors, and in return, are pretty much guaranteed their jobs until they retire.

i do think the nba wants to clean it up, but they are waiting for some of these guys to leave on good terms so they don't have to worry about more stories coming out.

Yep. But I disagree, I don't think the NBA wants to clean this up...if they did, it could easily be corrected by **** all of the refs and having stricter rules...they clearly don't do that and don't want to...
