Bell deserves a ring? Why?

raja can alway opt to get surgery and chill on the injured list for a while.
but that team really needs his leadership, even more than we did.

I'd like to console you in advance for the pain Jackson is going to inflict on the Bobcats.

Re: Bell and Radman Traded for Jackson and Law
I wonder if GSW knew that Bell was going to have surgery.
If not, and they waived a physical, that's kinda a crappy thing to do.
And I still don't get why players want to play for us, but not GSW. It's not like we're in a much better position than them.

Re: Bell and Radman Traded for Jackson and Law
I suspect GS knew what it was getting into. Bell needs a contract next season. He needs to be healthy then to have the best chance.
It would have been nice to have Bell for the season but it's absolutely not necessary for the trade to still be fine with GS. I doubt anyone in GS office feels screwed by this.

GSW is probably fine with shedding the salary with Bell's expiring.

Looks like we were offered Samuel Dalembert for Bell and Vlad and we turned that down. Bravo to the FO for having some brains. We got Jax for those 2. What if we only got Sam for those 2? That would have been a nightmare!

Very happy about this trade. Felton, Flip, Jax, Wallace, and Diaw is a very scary small ball line up. All we need now is Chandler to knock off that rust and add another low post banger. Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing Felton traded for a Brandon Bass type.

This was certainly a transaction made by the Bobcats. It could be good or bad, depending on what your definition of good is., or maybe your definition of bad.

I think the Bell surgery now makes this trade very one sided in our favor. We essentially get Jaxs and Law for Vlad and the expiring Contract of a good player who is out for the year. Bell was never going to make the full year for us with that wrist. Now, look what we get for him. It worked out well for the Cats - but I do wish Bell a full recovery so he can be a full speed next season.

This is a far better trade than any other we have done (value-wise) with the exception of the Diaw/Bell for J-Rich swap. I knew we'd do something with the Warriors eventually...between Higgins connections and Nelson being the coach...something was inevitable. I actually want us to give Law some minutes and see what he can do running this team. DJ is not a PG..he doesn't create opportunities for others, turns the ball over far too much, and is a poor defender. Law has nice size at 6-3. Time to see what we've got, so we can make a sincere run next year.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Give DJ time. It usually takes 3 years or so for point guards to really adjust to the NBA. Even good PGs have had rough spots under Brown.
And yeah the trade really does look one sided now ... at least for this season.

My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

...again, does anyone think the Warriors really cared if Bell played one game for them? They were getting rid of Jackson, and slashing salary, and they achieved both. They obviously are rebuilding around Ellis/Morrow/Curry/Biedrins

Re: Bell and Radman Traded for Jackson and Law
Law shouldn't see the court over Felton or Augustin. Augustin's a great shooter, very good scorer, and a nice penetrator. His defense needs work, and he needs to look to drive and dish more often, but he's still young. All he needs is time. Felton does everything better than Law, and there's no reason to believe Law will ever be better than him, unless you're just taking a shot in the dark.
I meant that he was sticking it out for us, and then we shipped him out to Golden State. Thought it was a bit wrong, but as Spectre said, it's a business.

Re: Bell and Radman Traded for Jackson and Law
I don't think Felton's point guard play has been the main culprit in holding him back, though. Not even close, actually. It's been his awful shooting ability. His inability to finish very well at the rim just compounds that. Unless you're Rondo or a few others, you need to be able to shoot to be considered much more than an average point guard. D.J. is already a lights out shooter (or, at least he was), he just needs to become a more capable point.
Humble yourself.

DJ isn't Felton. While he could end up about the same or worse he could also end up far better. I remember saying the 3 year thing about Baron Davis too. Heh. He worked out OK.
