Straight up trades
Just make a trade involving one of our players for one other teams player. You can throw in expirings to make it work, but try to keep it simple.
Al Jefferson for Devin Harris and Jarvis Hayes (expiring)
New Jersey has a solid (but old) backup in Rafer Alston who can fill the void. Jefferson and Lopez can form the best big man rotations in the NBA. Furthermore New Jersey has a .465 chance of being guaranteed John Wall or Willie Warren. Of course that's assuming NJ stays at the bottom (which seems likely). I would not want to see this team if they sign Lebron James.
Minnesota obviously can't sign Wade, Bosh, or James and I'm absolutely not a fan of Flynn, Gay, Love, Jefferson in the starting lineup together. Minnesota saves 4 million next year and if they decide Rudy Gay is a realistic possibility, then trading Gomes should be be considered an option as well (lets say hypothetically at least for expirings). Then they have an additional 8 million in cap space to sign an additional FA.

Why does Phi do this? They don't have a shooting guard to fill in the massive void left by Iggy and they'd have a combined 28 million dollars devoted to Brand and Jefferson (value of course is fair).

Gomes for Hilton Armstrong and Julian Wright.
Gets us a nice athlete, with potential thats a pretty good defender and improving shooter. Then another 7 footer who may develop for us...Helps NO get a solid 4th option to spread the floor.

Jason Hart for ME! today my team decided to call it quits for this season (and probably forever) which makes me available for possible trades. and seriously, what can Jason Hart do that I can't do? I'm sure I'd improve team chemistry instantly.

Re: Straight up trades
MIN in Harden
MIN out Utah pick + Cha pick + Wilkins (exp)
Why? James Harden, simple as that.
OKC in Boozer
OKC out Harden Thomas (exp)
OKC may win the division with Durant, Westbrook, Green, and Boozer.
Utah in Pick returned + Cha pick + Thomas (exp) + Wilkins (exp)
Utah out Boozer
Utah gains something instead of nothing. If they start rebuilding, they have their own pick and NYK's pick in the draft.

Your right. My thinking was basically Boozer for picks for Harden but it should be posted somewhere else.

Well according to them, Iguodala isn't a shooting guard in the first place. And I don't think they are even starting Brand anymore, Jefferson is a huge upgrade over him and younger. I think Speights would cause them to second guess the deal more than Brand would.cpfsf wrote:Why does Phi do this? make a trade for another high draft pick.
I want Turner & Aldrich. I don't care how we do it. Just keep Love.

I like it, we desperately need a shooter. Miami would probably pass on that though.

does give the heat another expiring to add a Bosh/Boozer/Lebron/JJ/Gay for next season. Wilkins is servicable, and i don't think Cook is in Miami's longterm plans. be a nice look to give him some extended time here.
on an aside, I've thought about Redick/Wilkins swap. I know Orlando wouldn't go for it, but is a fun thought to add an outside shooter

We would be guaranteed an all-star representative if Cook came to Minny as well.

I hate it, Deng is overpaid or at the best worth the amount of money he's paid; and Jefferson has a ton more value then Noah.
