14 Players

Post#1 » by laduane1 » Tue Nov 17, 2009 7:06 am

With Luke hurt again. Why not carry 14 players. It seems to just make sense. Lakers are so far over the cap, one more player could make it easier to get a few more wins that might give the Lakers some home court later on.

The vets min doesn't count to the salary cup does it? I wonder if there's anyone willing to bite for that.

Wally Sczerbiak might cut it if Luke is going to stay out. A shooter who's confidence level is higher than Morrison's might not be a bad addition.

Well for the next 6 weeks, Lakers will only have 12 players and really 11 till Pau gets back. So one other seems to make sense.

I'm cool with wally or gerald green, but I think mitch would want to see first; if this team can survive without adding any players.

of course this team can survive without adding players...the solution is simple...give shannon brown and josh powell more minutes....our team is atleast a solid 7 deep kobe/artest/odom/bynum/fisher/powell/shannon without pau gasol....as a matter of fact, the lakers can go really big with kobe, artest, odom, powell, bynum during some stretches, or really small brown/kobe/artest/odom/bynum...
we dont need green or szerbiak

iki...you call that a really small lineup??

That is not a small lineup bro. Odom is a legit 6-10 and Bynum is huge compared to a lot of Cs today.
artest/kobe is just right, Brown is a big pg imo...

anyway. I think we should add a spark depending on Gasol's return. Wally would be a really good fit. I don't know what is really up with Gasol. I wonder if there is something that we are not hearing about. But if he is going to return within few games (2 or 3) then there is no need to make additions. 8-man deep is good. Besides, more minutes for the scrubs might hurt now but it builds confidence. It will pay off when we play Denver n Boston in the postseason.

I'd love AI off the bench, but we know that don't work. He's as dumb as they come to think he should start at this point of his career, He could be a Vinnie Johnson type player for a contender, and win multiple rings, but he's too stupid to realize he's not a starter anymore that can be the "I need the ball in my hands" type player with a contender.

I thought Wally had surgury recently, and was thinking of retireing?
