I'd love to get him in the summer. Not right now though.

Not what we've seen this season he isn't.*
*From the school of "What have you done for me lately?"
He's 9 months removed from an injury that takes 12-16 months to get full strength back. He's a little rusty, plus playing in a new system, and focusing more on his defense(which is average-ish right now) he's also averaging like 2 assists this year so far. I'd like to see him quite being a blackhole at times though.

Man, people are quick to turn on a guy coming back from a serious injury. Give him time...he may not even be full strength this season.
Thriving on mediocrity since '89.

well, I'm not a big fan of Al to begin with, plus a long athletic freak like McGee is a perfect fit next to Love, add knicks pick to it and I'd help Al pack his stuff for free.

I would not move Al jefferson unless it is for a wing player under 26 that can match similar offensive production or is a young stud.
Butler is too old.

In my mind Flynn = Fernandez, plus MIN could also add incentive by creating a TPE for a WAS team that's well over the lux.
I don't see how Flynn = Fernandez? Since he specified that Fernandez must be included I think that is the type of player he needs - a tall shooting guard with an outside shot, not another point guard. The "value" of the two might be the same, but that's all that matches. I don't think the wolves have a guard or SF that would interest Washington, especially as the lead piece for Butler.
I guess I don't know Washington's team THAT well...but doesn't that perfectly describe Mike Miller?
Good point. I guess I don't know why he specified Fernandez, they are an awfully deep team right now.

I can't speak for everyone that has included him in a trade, but for me this has nothing to do with the injury. My stance on Al is that same as it was last year (preinjury). He is a blackhole and is not someone to build a team around.

Re: Caron Butler on the Block?
I was posting Al trades before the injury last year. I don't think he fits with the rest of the team and I've come to the conclusion, based mostly on attitude, lack of passing, effort, and injury history, that he's not as valuable a player or asset as most of us think he is.

Re: Caron Butler on the Block?
Yep, it has nothing to do with his injury. I love Big Al's low post game but he seems to be the one valuable piece that doesn't fit with the direction the team is going. I just don't see him fitting well on an uptempo team that emphasizes ball movement when they do go halfcourt. It's not so much an indictment of Al, it's just that his tools don't fit as well on the new team, IMHO. Plus, on a team that has won less than 60 games over the past 2+ seasons, nobody should be untouchable.
That said, I wouldn't move him just for the sake of moving him. He definitely has value.

If we just quietly shop him around, to see what teams are going to be throwing around I'd be up for it. I want the team to look something like this next season..
Pg-Flynn-session(rubio)
SG-Turner-Ellington
SF-Rudy Gay-Brewer-Gomes----I'm thinking he'll be traded at the deadline
Pf-Love
C-Aldrich-Hollins
If Flynn and Love continue to work on outside shooting that team would be very very nice. Aldrich can really run the floor, as can Hollins as we've seen. Seems that I just wanna ship out Al for a backup pf, capspace, and a top 10 pick..
