No problem. My thinking on the CP3 trade was that the talent cost wasn't too bad, but the financial aspects made it troubling. Let me put a more positive spin on it. As wolves fans, we see all the losses our team gathers, and sometimes forget that our team has a lot of assets. In that deal (not made by a fan of either team), we had the assets for Chris Paul and still had assets to spare. There's a lot of value on the team.

As for deeney's trade, my initial thinking was .. "Wow, that's different!" I probably spend as much time on the Trade Board as I do on the MIN's, and I've been there for a long time. I feel like I've seen the same trade, or minor derivations, countless times. For most trades, I can glance at them and know exactly what the thought process behind rejecting the deal is, and often I'll just post to repeat the same thing, so others understand the wolves situation better.

Deeney's trade was something I'd never seen before, or even considered. It was so different that it was something I wanted to think about for a few days. I don't know if I'd do the trade, but its this kind of out-of-the-box thinking that I find very interesting.

Agree that we have a lot of assets. There were lots of pieces moving around in this trade, but I would've done it. If I read between the lines, you consider this trade to be a triple, but you want to save the assets and financial flexibility to go for a home run. I figure if Jefferson comes back healthy, this trade would be close to a home run, so that was the reason for the Jefferson comment.

As for Deeney's trade, I am probably a little biased against Okafor right now based on what has happened to him with the trade and trade rumors. At UConn, he was by far the best college player in the country mostly because his athleticism on the defensive end, however it seems like he has lost a decent amount of athleticism over the past couple of years, and he's still got like 5 more years on his contract at a high pay rate. West is a nice player on a pretty good contract. I don't think he's nearly as good as Al though. I think we can do better using our cap space than this deal.
