Bynum the BEAST! Stats and the NEW BANWAGON!!!

Post#1 » by Mamba Venom » Thu Nov 19, 2009 6:41 am

Bynum has been BEAST-N and he hasn't even hit top form yet.

At first I was like alright-alright he is playing good. But compare his stats to the rest of the NBA and Bynum is the #1 top dog playing center.

I know D-Howard has more experience and a lot more exposure because if his charisma and superman outfit BUT Howard has been laying some eggs so far. I think the rest of the league knows how to better deal w/ Howard. Fans might say well Bynums #s are up because Gasol is out... well if that's the case Howards #s should be up because Lewis is out and also Turk is gone. Kaman has been getting a lot of love but he doesn't play winning basketball. I checked out the game vs. the Thunder and Kaman single-handedly lost the game. Kaman is playing good but he has an open license to jack up shots where Bynum has to play championship caliber ball AND share the ball w/ Kobe, LO, Artest and (hopefully) soon Gasol. IF YOU THROW OUT ALL YOUR CONCEPTIONS OF WHO THE BEST CENTER IS IN THE NBA AND LOOK JUST AT THIS SEASON BYNUM IS #1!!! I said it.

Bynum stats:
2nd in rebs in the NBA 11.7
6th in the NBA fg% .591
top 20 in points per game (2nd for centers just behind Kaman) 20.3
top 15 in blocks per game 1.8

I packed, I said my goodbyes to Shaq, Yao & Howard, the bandwagon is leaving.... BYNUM THE BEAST BEST CENTER IN THE NBA... all I wanna know is who is coming w/ me??? WHO IS JUMPIN ON THIS BANDWAGON?!?

I'm in.. I hope any and all real Laker fans never believed the bull**** that this kid was "injury prone." He's had two freak accidents but when healthy he has done nothing but be a top 5 center in the league. I hope we can get him into the all star game!! He deserves it

bynum really isn't in howard's league. other than d12 though, i don't think anyone is on bynum's level. he's clearly the 2nd best center in the league right now.

his stats will probably take a hit with pau on the floor, but thats not an indictment on the bynum like some fans around the league try to use it at. lakers are jsut a really talented team. bynum has proven he can be one of the few elite to throw up 20/10/60% on a very good team.

I'm not feeling the whole Bynum as the best center bandwagon thingy thang here. I'm with DCash on it. The second best center right now even if he putting up better numbers then Howard.

And I hope any and all Lakers fans can shut the hell up about all trade Proposals involving Bynum. That means YOU DubaLakers. :starwars

Count me in. But Bynum is still behind Howard and Duncan pretty easily... A healthy Yao (as rare as that is) would be 3rd... So Bynum is the 4th best C.. not that that's anything to complain about

I can't really tell the difference between most Cs and PFs now a days. Pau plays half his minutes at C as well and as such Pau is the 2nd best C in the league after Duncan. Dwight and Bynum come next in my opinion.

Duncan has been playing like **** this year. Guy can't even stay on the court. i don't think bynum will ever be nearly as good as duncan was but I think duncan's time is done..plus he's a PF more than a C.

while I agree that Drew has been beast N, I am not prepared to jump 100% on the wagon until he gives us a full season of beastiality......that came out wrong. anyway, like the good man used to say "just add minutes".

I can't wait to bump up a couple general/trade board threads about Bynum so all the Laker haters can eat their words.

per 36: 19, 13, 3, 2 51%, PER: 25.. he's played in 7/9 games

he's definitely not a PF next to Bonner/McDyess... in the past he was when he was next to Robinson/Mohammed/Nesterovic/Oberto

I really want to be on the bandwagon, but I'm scared...
Everytime I jump on, the damn wagon drops a wheel...

That being said, I'm happy with Bynum's performance this season, but am I wrong in my impression that he hasn't really faced any stiff compettition at C yet? All I can think of is Nene... But Nene just doesn't look good against us ever...

Bynum looks good, BUT he is NOT better than Dwight. Your reasoning is flawed, Bynum's numbers go up w/out Pau, but Dwight's go down w/out Lewis (its not a fair comparison). W/out Lewis, teams can double Dwight with two bigs. W/Lewis, they can't b/c he spreads the floor and must be guarded.

Second, while IMO Kaman is garbage, comparing Bynum and him is not apples to apples. Kaman is the focal point of his offense, Bynum is at best the second option and really we don't even throw him the ball unless he's w/in 6-8 ft of the basket. And I GUARANTEE that Bynum would have "single-handedly" lost us plenty of games if he was our number one option in crunch time, let's be real. Bynum is playing really well, but he's not asked to do too much.

Put me on the Bynum is the 2nd best center in the NBA bandwagon.

Bynum and D12 will rule the NBA for another 10 years IMO.

was always on the bynum bandwagon, never left

i still expect him to destroy most defenses most nights, (if he got enough of the ball)

Just glad to see Andrew playing hard in all phases. Thrilled to see him ranked second in the league in rebounding. Keep that isht up.

I'll jump on the 2nd best bandwagon.

If there's a #1 offensive C bandwagon I'm on it.

Bynum's been playing good... I've been telling people on this board for the longest that his injurys was the only thing that's been holding him back. If he stays healthy, he will be a all star this year.
