yeah, washington will start winning a lot now.

They got their man Jamison back, he went 30 and 10, they got arenas, who will take time but improve, caron butler, foye, miller, blatche...

I expect them to be a playoff team when the seasons over.

Favors wasn't on TV today,

However his team lost to a good Dayton team.

He was 4-6 with 10 pts, and 6 rebounds, 2 assist, 1 steal.

He got into early foul trouble which limited his minutes. He's certainly no the focal point of his teams offense yet, but that will likely change soon.

I just caught the end of the game. ET didn't look great. Has any projected 2010 lotto pick looked good so far this season?

ET had a off game, other games looked good. Had a lot of TO's *10* but still had 23 pts, 10 rebs.

Aminu has looked good in all 3 games.
Paul George is lookin pretty good.
Aldrich too, although he didn't play too much tonight in the win, cuz it was such a route.
I think Wall is playing well, but will get much better ( favors as well ) when he gets more comfortable in the offense, he just hasn't shot much is all, he's gonna get exponentially better.

Willie Warren doing pretty well too.

Terrico White seems kinda off this season, monroe too.

I was just about to mention Banks also. He is starting good stuff.

I am starting the game now. Turner and Henson will have me excited.

WHat do you guys think of Avery Bradley?

Hes abit small for a shooting gurd but from what ive seen on film he looks like a great defender to put next to Flynn/Rubio

Of course I mean with one of the Charlotte or Utah picks.

I was thinking Varnado w/ Charlotte or Utah pick (though we aren't getting either at the moment). One of the best shot blockers of all time. Not that 7 footer everybody is looking for, but that's to our advantage. Thabeet was #2 and Varnado might go #20, but Varnado is very likely to be a better rim protector than Thabeet in the NBA. A team like the Wolves looking to improve their defense, and Varnado can do that from day 1 and do it easily by spending a later 1st rounder. Don't get many opportunities to do something like that, so I'd definitely make that move. He's not real big, but he's around Eddie Griffin size minus the alcoholic water retention, and Eddie when he was on had a big impact defensively, and Varnado is on another level than Eddie when it comes to shotblocking.

I love alot of things about Turner, rebounding, ball handling, unselfish, he's versatile enough to guard college point guards and mix it up underneath grabbing rebounds, but yesterday's performance scared me a little. It wasn't the 10 turnovers, he was single handedly trying to keep OSU in the game. It's the fact he seemed almost afraid to shoot any shot over 15 feet. He would bypass open 18-20 footers and drive into the teeth of the defense, over and over again. I like an agressive guard but at 6'7" he needs to be able to hit the open jumper, otherwise he's Brewer with a better handle (which is not a bad player, but not a top 5 pick).

Well, Brewer can't shoot from inside either. Not a good comparison.

Sounds more like Tyreke Evans to me, and last time i checked Tyreke was doing just fine, and everybody on this board was creaming their pants about him.

That description does sound like Evans. Even though he's putting up stats, still not an Evans fan. He's going to have to play SG I think and I believe his shot is broke and not fixable. A SG in the NBA needs a consistent stroke to be a star (otherwise you're Larry Hughes).

Turner looks like he has good form on his shot but he just doesn't take alot of them from distance. I'm not sure if that's because he feels he can go to the rim at will in college or whether he's trying to be unselfish by being a playmaker versus a scorer. I have hope that he can develop range because, like I said, it looks like he has good form. I think to be a top 5 pick he's going to have to show consistent 20 foot range either at some point this season or in the predraft workouts.

Turner has a fine mid-range game. Just not 3 range. This year playing pg he seems reluctant to shoot the mid range, instead trying to drive and dish.

ESPN has him listed at 230lbs... that means he gained 20lbs since DX last bio'd him. That should put to rest concerns about his weight if true. I concur that'd I'd like to see him in our rotation. He seems like a typical Spurs pick to me.

I don't even worry about his size, though it's great if he can get stronger, but what he does at any size is takes layups off the table of options for people driving, and that'd be huge for this team. Guys can get layups way too easily against us. Hollins is a slight improvement, but Varnado and Hollins aren't even comparable, Varnado can sniff out those attempts a mile away and it just makes it for the opposition when they can't play in attack mode.

solid garbage man, but we got Al and Love to an extent for the offense, Varnado just needs to fill the spaces. I could see him being a real pain in the ass on the offensive glass
