Official Game Thread: Philadelphia Eagles at Chicago Bears

Post#1 » by SpinninHouse » Tue Nov 17, 2009 9:04 pm

Bears win!!! Bears win!!!! Whether or not that is a good thing is yet to be determined, but I'm predicting the Bears manage to beat the Eagles this Sunday night. Yes, we've been horrific on nationally televised games. Yes, we haven't looked good in weeks. Yes, every aspect of the organization has been blasted all week. But on Sunday night we will witness a miracle as the Bears knock off the Eaglettes.

Cutler is resurrected from the dead. Tommie Harris has his best game in the past two years. Alex Brown does the gator-chop. And the Bears win 27-20.

Cutler 33-45 for 288 yards, 2 TD's, and 0 INT's
Hester 7 catches for 156 yards
Forte 22 carries for 75 yards, 6 receptions for 62 yards

Manning 11 unassisted tackles
Tommie Harris 1 sack, 4 tackles (3 of which are for losses)

BEARS WIN!!!! IT'S A MIRACLE!!!!

Spin, thanks for starting the thread. I know I have been missing on these boards for a while, due to personal issues outside of sports/chillin. Can someone give me the ability/power to retake it as the starter so I can morph it into GOOD KARMA for our BEARS (i.e. get wicked with the pictures)?! I have a lot riding on this game, mainly a g.f. who is an EAGLES fan, and feels like they're going to blowout our team. Alas, I'm 2-0 and seriously, I'd like to win a 3rd one a row with my good luck charm.

Early prediction: Forte with 20 rushes for 30 yards.

I've blamed the offensive line up and down for his troubles - and our OL sucks to be sure - but raise your hand if you think he just looked slow on those two screens that went for big yards vs the 49ers. Any other starting RB in the NFL takes at least one of those to the house. Something's wrong.

haha I understand the responses completely. since I've been Mr. Negative every week (and proven correct every week) I figured I'd try a different approach. Mr. Positive!!!! But deep down inside I know in the pit of my stomach that we absolutely suck. Every aspect of our team sucks, from scouting down to players. But hey....we're bound to win one of the days. And this is our week!!!! But don't worry, we'll still finish 6-10 after the Lions drill the living day lights out of us in Detroit.

And yes, Forte with 20 carries for 30 yards is not only possible....it's actually likely.

Well, shoot, why didn't you TELL me you were going to the game? Of course we're going to win now!

Seriously, enjoy your first game. I've always been saddled with quasi-end zone seats.

Well time for my prediction:
Eagles 24
Bears 14

Just don't know how our secondary is going to be able to stop Jackson and Maclin. I think I'm being generous giving the Eagles only 24 points.

Even when the Bears can't, NBC makes Chicago look really damn good. Great cinematography. :D
