2010 draft #1 pick?

Post#1 » by darnell59 » Fri Nov 20, 2009 6:16 am

If we get the #1 pick, then what? Draft Wall, keep Flynn, trade Rubio? Draft Wall, keep Rubio, trade Flynn? Or just trade down and take someone like Aldrich? Interesting dillemma.

I would go with your first option.

The nets are still winless.

I would definitely draft Wall. He's a can't-miss prospect. In the event that we did draft Wall #1, I'd personally be inclined to trade Sessions for a young SG in the vein of Nick Young. I'm not sure how much the Wiz value Young, but that seems pretty fair to me.

The Wolves are last in the ESPN power rankings, so we could be there officially soon enough.

Yeah once Harris and Lee get back we're in trouble, or in luck depending on which way you look at it.

Haha I think it will be a given that Sessions will be traded in a year or two. I completely forgot to include him in the whole equation. In that case, imagine a back court with Flynn, Rubio, and Wall. Now THAT'S a running team!

Yes you take Wall.

Wall is the player most likely to be a superstar in the nba.

Nba= superstars league.

You take him, worry about Rubio/flynn/sessions later, pg's can always be dealt.

Watch us pick #2, which will be fine...but some team who finishes like with the 8th worst record will get #1....it's the twolves way.

Say "Draft Wall & Trade Rubio" only has one sense now ... to uncover if Rubio want play for Minnie and when he think do it.

The rest of the reasons are absurds ... I think.

So, be patient, be intelligent, be-water-my-friend, get a top 2-3 FA, forget Wall and if Marc Gasol is imposible ... pick Derrick Favors.

I know he is not the youtube athlete, but I think Turner will be a star. Incredibly high BBIQ, great size and awareness. Awesome mid range jumper from spot up, but also off the dribble.

Completely agree. Joe Johnson and Brandon Roy aren't exactly youtube athletes, either. But they're both great basketball players. That's the type of player I see Evan Turner being. He'd be great in the tri-force offense that we run.

I'd say Turner is the player who fits best with our team needs at this point. whether he will be the "best available" when we choose is another matter.

He's putting up 15 boards a game after 3. He had another great rebounding effort against UNC, although his turnovers were high because the Tar Heels game planned strictly to stop him.

I just looked as his game logs... a huge percentage of his FG attempts are layups and dunks. I love how he's beasting, but it looks like he's destined to be a PF. :(
