That and he can make decisions with the ball in the frontcourt which is a great asset in the triangle. They might start running the pick n roll soon which was our bread and butter all of last season.

No one compared him to Drew right? They're just saying that he's a serviceable center that would start for most teams in the league and you have to agree with that.

If Noah can work on his jumper he'd be a tough guard alongside a good low post PF/C.

Go look at the Around the nba thread. This was a topic as late as this week.

I believe the discussion was centered around Bynum for Noah and Rose. Derrick Rose is the deal breaker there. Noah is just added depth.

whoever suggested that should be taken out back and shot lol. that is so lopsided its not even funny.

anyway that was a great game by the lakers there is no shame in my bulls losing tonight. the lakers were and are an insanely good team. good luck this season and like another bulls fan said, i want to see lakers boston with KG getting destroyed by pau :D

*on Noah from a bulls POV. he has been insanely good this year. for what his role is on this team, he has done it incredibly well, every night, and against every level of competition (lakers to kings to cavaliers). he has added post moves to his offensive skills set, he just didnt use them at all tonight. he added a semi jump hook shot and the worst jump shot in the NBA (the tornado). most his points are just some huge one handed slams tho. if he keeps this up he will be one of the better centers in the league.

also on hinrich: great defense, limited offense. he has good nights on offense and then terrible nights. great bench player who would run the triangle well imo.

uhm... I dont think anyone called him "the man" or even implied it... He's the 3rd best player on a lower seeded playoff team... He's a good defender and rebounder, great hustle player... He's not an All-Star, but he's not garbage. There is some in-between ya know

I'm cool with this. It wasn't coming off like this at first. I don't mean from you per say, just a general consensus.

that said, would you do Hinrich for Farmar/Morrison?

he did. im not saying he has gasol or howard moves by any stretch of the imagination, but his post moves include slams and semi jump hook shot. I saw some stat wear his ppg doubled from last year i believe. tonight you barely saw either hook or slam really because your frontcourt is too good

i would, i don't think dr. buss would take on hinrich's contract which pays him 9 mil next yr and 8 mil the yr after.

Simply put the Triangle was built for bigs in the first place. Pau's ability to pass more creatively than Drew is why it's more potent. Example Fish looked some what decent tonight, because the defense has to sag on Pau a little tighter than they do Drew. Yes Drew will get doubled but Pau sees like a double/zone around him.

i don't think there's any doubt pau helps the offense run better than bynum. that wasn't my assertion.
I know what you were getting at, that's why I mentioned Pau's ability in the Tri. When you say "he's more important than Kobe", it correlates to what I posted. If we're talking about how the offense functions, then yes it has more fluidity with Pau than it has with Kobe.

as long as the bulls got expirings back for 2010 cap, im pretty sure he can be relatively cheap.

gasol didnt have to come back vs my team. it never fails that a big time player always makes his return on us. i hated the lakers before this game and really do now. it wouldve been a good game if he hadnt kept the tradition alive to return against my bulls. just came here to say we will be ready next time. our full team should be back and rose should be 100% i just hate the lakers. only team i hate more is the knicks.

I expect him to play 30-35 minutes. If you suit up and play...you better be ready to handle the load.

He's got a hook with either hand, a drop step, he can lay it off the glass with either hand, he's adept at reverses, he's a full 2-dribble guy, he WILL take your big off the dribble from the 3 point line if the lane is clear. He's got post moves, what he doesn't have is strength or good touch. His strength is coming to him, but I don't think his touch is going to get much softer- it's been a touch above mediocre since his sophmore year in Florida.

Anyway, you guys are ridiculous, I am angry at how good your frontcourt is, and oh yeah you have Kobe. I hope your PG situation doesn't get too bad because it can be an achilles heel for you guys. I have you guys as the favorites despite it. Good luck.

Hell of a game by Gasol. He just comes right in and dominates.

There is no way in hell we should lose any one of our next 9 games. In fact, I think we should be sitting at 26-5 come New Years Day. Look at our schedule. We need to take full advantage.

Thanks for all the classy posts Bulls fans. I hope come playoffs you're ready to entertain us like you did last year. This year, maybe you'll even dethrone a power team early on or better.

Noah's not garbage and if he is a serious learner he'll develop his offense. Look at the criticism Ariza had early on in his career.
