We should just have this go for us this offseason.... Sign Gay, draft Turner.
PG-Flynn-Sessions-Rubio
SG-Turner-Ellington-Brewer
SF-Gay-Brewer-Gomes
PF-Love-Gomes
C-Al-Hollins

We should look at a backup pf to play some defense, we need a 3rd big to come in for us, unless Hollins develops nicely. Frye is a free agent, or Sean Williams, possibly Amir Johnson?

I would like if say Memphis gets the 3rd pick and we get the 1st(miracle I know) We trade them the rights to Wall for Rudy Gay and the rights to Turner. :D We may have to send them something else though.Maybe Brewer to replace Gay? He could fit in nicely for them. That'd leave us with turner/ellington and gomes at the 2/3

Actually now I'm thinking with the emergence of the kings without Kevin Martin and Tyreke Evans being a beast in his spot. Could we grab him? I tried this in the trade machine...Al/Brewer/Cardinal for Martin/Kenny Thomas/Donte Greene.

We get a proven 25 point scorer, an athletic guy who is best friends with Flynn and then an expiring, also could leave us a bit thin up front...thoughts?

We're not getting enough back in that trade. Martin is injury prone and doesn't play defense. I wouldn't mind having him on the team, but he's not worth anything close to Big Al, and we're not getting anything back to make up the difference. If we're trading Al for a wing, I want a 2-way player coming back who is going to play more than 55-60 games.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

I definitely don't mind this scenario. I think it could play out without the #1 for Turner and Gay...we'd just get Turner from 3-5 and sign Gay in free agency. You hit the nail on the head that we'd one more above average big away from making some real noise. So, our cap space is mostly used, but the team is mostly 25 and younger, and we'd still have a lot of assets left to get that big. We might have him by then, if we get the Charlotte/Utah pick(s) this year and pick up one of Monroe/Alabi/Cousins/Sanders/Jerome Jordan/Varnado with it. Otherwise, we could trade Gomes+whatever for say, Okafor and we're golden.
