Do you want McGrady back?

Post#1 » by True Warrior Zo » Sun Nov 15, 2009 9:28 pm

Hey guys,

I was surfing yahoo's NBA page, when I came across a video discussing Tracy.

What is the consensus on the Rockets board considering how well you are playing without him?

why not?

it's not like we are going anywhere from what i can see. anything more than the regular season would be a huge bonus. We could use some McGrady and see if he still has anything left in that 12-year tank.

last years tmac hell no, but anything before that yes. would i want him taking 20 shots a game, depends on how good he is, 100% he can do w/e the **** he wants. w/ a star player this team can get to the 2nd round, even the wcf finals, a healthy tmac can make that happen. his offense should come out easier w/ the lane not clogged by yao, so come the on get on the floor and drop 30 godammit

Having T-Mac back is better than any of the trade offers New York fans keep giving us so yes I want him back. Can't say I'll be upset though if he doesn't come back and we don't make the playoffs, a good lottery pick could do a lot for this team.

If he plays like our team's playing, yes.
Last year he stopped ball movement in large part because he was unable to do what he normally does. He couldn't get around his defender, he couldn't get to his spots, he couldn't outjump Yao, it was terrible to watch.
If he's playing anything like that, keep him on the bench until he can do otherwise. This team's too awesome to have its flow disrupted.

Ariza is averaging 38.2 minutes per game
Battier is averaging 32.0 minutes per game
Budinger is averaging 19.3 minutes per game
Lowry is averaging 24.4 minutes per game
Brooks is averaging 34.6 minutes per game

How many minutes does Tracy need to be effective/happy?

You guys can win 50 games if Mac returns by the New Year.

Brooks(30)/Lowry(18)
TMac(30)/Budinger(18)
Ariza(34)/Battier(14)
Scola(12)/Landry(24)/Battier(12)
Hayes(20)/Scola(16)/Andersen(12)

Ariza: 34 minutes
Brooks: 30
Mac: 30
Scola: 28
Battier: 26
Landry: 24
Hayes: 20
Lowry: 18
Bud: 18
Andersen: 12

Everybody gets adequate minutes. A 10 man rotation will help keep guys fresh and injury-free.

Whe..... If Tmac gets back, he should get no more than 25 minute per game. Have some mercy on the old man for christ sake.

It is interesting to see how you guys are much more positive about McGrady than your media seems to be. Just read an article today that has many similarities to some Vince Carter articles circa 2004.

When Tracy gets back, is Battier or Ariza being pushed to the bench?

All the signs the organization is giving says that we won't sign him. And our team playing well without him doesnt help his cause.

Even if he came back and played his ass off and looked like the tmac of old. I dont think we're going to offer him a deal he might get else where.
