Continue starting fess when okur comes back

Post#1 » by Montanajazz » Fri Nov 20, 2009 11:50 pm

When Okur comes back, start Fess with Boozer, Brewer, Williams and Mathews.
Bring Okur, Milsap, Kirlinko, Mayner in with Kufous on Bench. It is Obvious the middle breaks down when Okur and Boozer play together! Milsap And boozer, Milsap and Okur, Boozer and Fes are better combos together in the middle. When either Miles or Korver come back they are on the second team. The jazz are stronger with Brewer at small forward and Mathews at shooting guard. The minutes will work itself out. the problems start when both Miles and Korver are back. Price is left out again at that time!!

Great team play by the jazz in last 4 games!!!

I agree. Although Memo opens up the lane for Boozer it just doesn't seem worth the black hole on the other end.

We need to start thinking about packaging some guys for one better player. We have too much depth, and lots of players just wont be well utilized.

Not happening. I would love to see Fes get the start, if he can smart up and stay out of early foul trouble.

I'm almost starting to agree with this. Not only do we win in SA for the first time since I was in high school, but we sweep a back to back! I don't know that not having Memo in for any of this matters, but I do like what Fes has been bringing defensively. Plus, the effort seems to be there now. That was what was missing for me before from him. As much as Memo is the money man, we just are dying for some defense from our 5.

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

Memo is not a bad defender at all, but Boozer is. Memo can't lock down TD or Ming nor any other defenders out there. But we've seen so many times that he can slow down those superstars. So show a little respect to your All-star player.

I'd say Memo is an average man-to-man defender for his position, but he's terrible as a help defender.

However this team desperately needs Memo's outside shooting. Right now he's the only zone-busting shooter. You just can't afford to play Fesenko, Matthews and Brewer together for long stretches.
