Run and gun no defense team is the kind of a team Rondo can actually look good against...
It will be a tough game for us. We are playing horrible basketball right now. I won`t be surprised if we lose this one...or blow them out...

I really can't stand this trolling by "our own fan base". I am convinced that half of these clowns are just guys from other boards that have started screen names to tick off us usual Celtics fans. If I were a mod, I'd be ban crazy.
Also, we held a team to 59 pts...I wouldn't say the Magic game was our best defensive effort.

I have an issue with you calling out Rondo lately. You are just looking at his shooting and are ignoring all other aspects of his game. I don't want to come off as bashing the Euro influence, but the NBA is more 1v1 centered. Look at Brandon Jennings. I saw game film of him last year and he looked terrible and like a ball hog on his team. Look at what he is doing now. There is more room to work with because of spacing in this league. A pg doesn't need to shoot well, and especially with the great offensive talent around him. Let's not forget what Rondo's role is on this team. Don't forget 2 years ago. Don't let the $11m a year cloud your judgment.
I have been a Rondo critic up until recently. Now it is becoming the common Celtics fan thing to do to bash Rondo. You are underestimating the kid again. He saves so many possessions with his offensive rebounding, he gains possession with his steals(1st in the NBA), and Doc Rivers won't turn the kid loose. He is a PHENOMENAL passer and the best passer we have had on this team since Larry Bird, without question. You can not even argue this point. Think about that .
This team is going through an offensive lull. House can't hit a shot. Rasheed can't hit a shot. Offensive flow doesn't look right. This happens to every NBA team every single season. Thank heavens that it is happening in November and not May. I'm sick of all of the "sky is falling" crowd.
I'm predicting a Rondo 25 point, triple double extravaganza and a blowout to silence the haters...until our next loss...

This is for sure a Rondo game, I fully expect him to have a huge game today. They have nobody that can stop him. Actually there is no excuse for anybody to stop any of the Celtics.

I also expect him to have a great game. But that is exactly the problem! Fans will say how great of a player he is again but games like these just mask how much of a weak link he is in a half court game. I really don`t care how he does against the knicks, warriors and all other no defense run and gun teams. In the playoffs we will not play against any of them. It is the performances against CLE, ORL, ATL, LA, SA that are a measuring stick for him as a player and as a PG on this team.

I agree with you the spacing is extremely important. But that is exactly what Rondo takes away from this team. Jason Williams was 15 feet away from Rondo on defense. We play 4 on 5 on offense and that is something the big three at this age can not compensate anymore...Rondo needs to be able to hit a jumper or get to the rim and finish. At this point he can`t do either.

I agree that he is a great rebounder and a very good passer but his defense especially man-to-man is overrated. Though my biggest problem with him is that he doesn`t bring it every game. He just looks lethargic, disinterested on many nights and he is a player who is dependent on speed, explosiveness, dynamics...
I don`t think that I am a Rondo hater. I think I am realistic. As a PG you need to hit a jumper or make a free throw in a half court game to be able to help you team. If you can`t you are a huge liability...

This is going to be ugly for the Knicks. That team is a mess, and Chris Duhon apparently forgot how to play basketball already

Re: Celtics @ Knicks - Sunday, November 22nd
Anybody doubting the Celtics in this game hasn't watched the Knicks play this season.
What the Knicks produce on the court barely resembles the sport of basketball. We get outhustled, outworked, outrebounded on almost every possession. Only if the Knicks shoot like 70% from 3 point range they might hang in there till the fourth quarter.
Celtics 107
Knicks 90
As a Knick fan I'd be very pleaseantly surprised if the Knicks can keep it under 10, even happy if we can keep it a close game throughout the first half. That's how bad we are.....

It probally has to do with half that team wont even be a knick next year.... then again you would think each free agent player would be playing for a new contract even if its not for the knicks. Too many agendas.

Celtics woes will continue. The game will be close, however Harrington will have a huge game and the Knicks will win by 5. You heard it hear first.

That has been suggested by the local media and other commentators but I don't get how you play with less desire in a contract year. To be honest I don't even think it has that much to do with the contract situation....it's that our team just isn't that talented. Our first option and leading scorer(Harrington) should be a 3rd option ideally. Duhon and Nate were pretty strong last year as they combined for almost 30points on 43%-44% shooting but this year they are producing 15points together on a disgusting 25%. On good days the Knicks can probably beat those 6-8 seeds in either conference but I doubt they stand any chance against the Celtics,Lakers,Orlando etc. If you watched them this season you'd know why. You guys just need to put together a good sequence and something like a 15-2 run and the Knicks are gonna fall apart....no toughness,no grit, nothing there.

You are really stupid. You do realize youre not the 1st person on the first page to say that we might lose, right?
Go join the Lakers board, bandwagoner. I know most ppl ignore you, but you're just so damn annoying and tupid.

KM. Please please do not quote this pathetic, perpetually and pathologically negative, and 99% wrong-predicting home grown troll. This will be his 200th wrong prediction since the fall of 2006. He destroys the joy of winning, and when he is randomly correct in his absurd and CONSTANT predictions of losses (I.e., the sun shines on every dog's ass sometimes), it makes us feel even worse. I again suggest putting him on permanent ignore. Better than that would be a multitude of complaints to our excellent mods, perhaps resulting in his expulsion.

I'm not trolling, I'm die-hard fan
I've no good feelings about this game, probably because of poor play and poor team effort lately
if it makes me a clown allrgiht then.
ok,we held bobcats to 59 points but you know they are worst off. team in league by far. and if you watch magic game you can see the difference clearly between that two games. Actually I liked the way how this team fought hard against magic , and was upset about loss b/c of poor off. performance. but you know magic game was too intense and that was reason the Celtics play so hard.
Knicks game is not same level as Magic one for Celtics and this make me scare

This team needs a feel good game. A game where everything goes right, we bully up on an inferior team and get some GD confidence back. This is just the game to do that. Let's F'n GO GREEN!!!!!! Time to wear your heart on your sleeve again and play with some sack! I want to see you shoot 80% on threes instead of the opposite for a game. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
