OT (sorta): Nuggets lose to Clippers w/out Gordon or Griffin

Post#1 » by justinb80 » Sat Nov 21, 2009 2:05 pm

There. Great teams can lose against bad ones without their best players, while on the road. Now can we stop the Suns doomsday talk?

yea, also Portland lost to GS, Dallas almost lost at home to SAC, and Atlanta almost lost at home to Houston, the 72 win Bulls team lost to a really bad team (I think it was the Raptors, and they also almost lost to the Grizzlies who were bad)

It's one game, I just hope we kill Detroit.

Clippers aren't that bad. Even without Gordon, they have guys like Davis/Thornton/Camby/Kaman/Smith/Jordan/Telfair, who are all good starters or solid role players. They just never meshed last year...

NOH leading Hawks by 7 at the half. Vindication?

Edit: NOH wins.

Indeed.

Hornets beat Atlanta.

That's 2 wins against the number one and number two place teams in the NBA (Suns/Hawks).

If they keep this up, Chris Paul will return and make their new coach (Bower???) and new assistant (Tim Floydd???) look like heros.

Talk about a fantastic turnaround.

Hornets are officially a very very very very very good and excellent team. Better than Rockets. And Suns. And Hawks. And Lakers.....

Hornets are veryx5 good while the Rockets are veryx3 good (according to you, "Suns"man). I see your reasoning now. Makes total sense.

Nobody *likes* losing.

It happens every now and then to EVERY team.

On another slightly off-topic comment - as I don't want to make a thread just for this - do notice this, folks:

-Shaq has missed his 5th straight game already early in the season thus far. He was nearly flawless when with the Suns and only had a few minor injury setbacks - if u wanna call it that. Didn't miss many games with Phx - already missing 5+ with Cavs.

What does this say: It says the Suns training staff has and is superb when it comes to injury diagnosis and rehabilitation & corrective strengthening.

Hornets = very 5x good
Hawks = very 4x good
Rockets = very 3x good
Lakers = very 2x good
Clippers = very 1x good
Suns = good ---------------> if they fix what my Signature says, they will be very 6x good!!!

Hornets >>> Lakers?
Rockets > Lakers?
Clippers > Suns?

lol @ sunsman (@ the very x post, which I hope was somewhat of a joke. Not trying to be a dick.)

I will agree with the "suns will be very 6x good" if they fix/change such and such. Can't say I agree with EVERYTHING in your sig.

but ya... you still make no sense with your perception of gauging a teams' "very x" goodness.

ON TOPIC:

Every team can have an off-night, as others have said, but I still think that the WAY the Suns lost is just inexcusable (like Jimmy said). Just a total lack of effort and drive (against the Hornets). If the Suns come out crashing the boards (as best as we can expect) and taking good shots, then I can handle a loss. Coming out with a total lack of interest in the game and/or with a sense of entitlement to a win (more or less), just makes me go "YUUUCK!".

(p.s. I like using parenthesis?)

Good teams don't lose to bad teams unless the team beats itself. So the Suns' half-assed loss to the Hornets is no different than any of the other "bad" losses that have happened recently. If it becomes a habit for the Suns to do this, then I'll worry.
