Time to predict Lovie's press conference.

well, I blame me first and foremost. I was scheduled to start the game thread and i was hijacked.

Seriously, I hope this signals an end for a few of the guys on the coaching staff and put Angelo on a more proactive hot seat. IMO, there should be no way the 2nd City in America should have a football team only make the playoffs 3 times in a decade. Thats ridic!

BTW SW, Bears player of the game is Peanut Tillman hands down.

Orlando Pace needs to go. He's such a worthless player. Hard to believe a future hall of famer keeps **** up the count.

Oh and I'm so glad we gave away a 2nd rounder for free. Are we planning on playing Gaines Adams at all? Jerry Angelo is a joke of a GM.

Cutler overthrew 3 times on deep passes.....unacceptable for a supposed "franchise quarterback". I think he's the second coming of Rick Mirer.

It's sure going to be a fun draft with no 1st or 2nd rounder.

And a free agency thread..

Wait, you think the McCaskey's will spend money? haha.

Before someone corrects me, Charles Tilman was great tonight and should have been in my good column.

Agreed with SW and not to sound like a downer, but you think this Management is gonna want to spend after watching this current makeup look disasterous? Doubtful. This team does need a serious and major shakeup from top to bottom, including its ownership. Alas, we wont get new ownership barring some miracle, and Angelo will find a way to keep his job. Lovie and his staff I believe are done, esp. after next week against the ViQueens. If this teams get destroyed on the road, you can bet your booty he's getting the axe right after the last game of the season. The Tampa 2 cannot be used on this current makeup and surely Jay Cutler needs a better offensive play caller on the sideline before he can call audibles and not do these stupid Screen Passes.

see my first post in this thread. ;)

CPT did his thing tonight. I hope we don't lose him nor hope his skills/talent erodes too quickly until this team gets itself right.

Frankly I'm shocked it was only a 4-point game

Yeah, we should have won. Who else forces 3 turnovers and DOESN'T SCORE? Come on. How many trips to the red zone end up in field goals? How many miss touchdowns were there? This offense is putrid.

Anyone else catch Devin Hester mooning the national audience in slow motion? :o

Oh. And Gaines Adams did play. He was getting man handled by the LT all day.

Before y'all get all over Cutler...
On the second overthrow he missed it because the receiver didn't run straight or get a clean release out of his cut. On the last one Knox started looking for the ball before it was in the air, which slowed him down. Still probably one step too far though. The INT was not his fault, though he did choose the wrong receiver. Immature WRs and a QB that doesn't know how to help them....

Biggest thing I took was that there was absolutely zero pass rush all night. McNabb could have pitched a tent back there almost every pass attempt. I thought the Bears coverage wasn't all that bad, LBs included.

I thought there was a decent one(considering how last year we would go through games were Matt Ryan and fricking Brian Griese throws 40 times and doesn't get hit once) with 3 sacks(albeit one was Lance Briggs) and there were times where people were back there but Mcnabb scrambled around and made a play or got facemasked.

To the DLine's credit though, they played the screen incredibly well. The first time I remember they covered it well and Mcnabb got sacked, the second time Mcnabb threw it away and got a penalty for ineligible man downfield.

They could have used some pressure during the one Desean touchdown where he out ran everyone and had a good four five seconds to throw.

I honestly felt the D played well considering the circumstances and pressure that was on the whole team this past week. With a few guys in and out, I think they played better than what anyone could of asked for. The offense though has been the story...Even if Jay made one of those missed long throws, this wouldn't have even been close, and the Bears would've been on the right of looking pretty. Oh well, I just hope this loss brings about change...I would like to see how Mike Shanahan does here instead of Lovie "i'mma dear caught in the headlights" Smith.

I credit Tillman and Gould for keeping us in it. I credit Cutler and Ron Turner for keeping us out of it. No defending Cutler this week, his miscues directly effected 3 TD opportunities. Three opportunities that may have turned the momentum our way, besides giving us the lead. Ron Turner lost me with all the goofy screens and for pulling Bell after he ripped off a 70 yarder and not playing the hot hand there. Here is where I would complain about the vertical passing game, but the 3 plays Cutler missed on were finally the right calls, so I can't fault Turner there.

But lets face it, Cutler is shellshocked and he is out of it. The Bears are looking cursed right now. A quarterback graveyard. It's almost to the point that I was wondering if the Bears prevented Rex Grossman from a Hall of Fame career. :)

Also, someone please alert Jay and Ron that the pass to Olsen at the end of the game is most always going to be quintuple covered. :D

Looked like McNabb had some wise words for Cutler, wonder what he said.

He probably said get out of Chicago! QBs never do well there.
