Captain Erv wrote:It looks like the two Wild Card spots in the NFC will be between 4 teams, the Packers, Falcons, and the two teams that don't win the NFC East (Giants/Eagles/Cowboys). Here is how the schedule breaks down for the rest of the season for each team. I won't really analyze it now, but definitely worth discussing.

Cowboys (7-3)
vs Oakland
at New York Giants
vs San Diego
at New Orleans
at Washington
vs Philadelphia

Eagles (6-4)
vs Washington
at Atlanta
at New York Giants
vs San Francisco
vs Denver
at Dallas

Packers (6-4)
at Detroit
vs Baltimore
at Chicago
at Pittsburgh
vs Seattle
at Arizona

Giants (6-4)
at Denver
vs Dallas
vs Philadelphia
at Washington
vs Carolina
at Minnesota

Falcons (5-5)
vs Tampa Bay
vs Philadelphia
vs New Orleans
at New York Jets
vs Buffalo
at Tampa Bay

Looking at that breakdown, the Giants appear to have the toughest schedule. Denver/Dallas/Philly/Minny. Be nice to see them lose the next couple and be out of it, leaving us having to beat out only one of Philly or Dallas (whoever doesn't win East) and Atlanta.

Falcons should beat TB both times and Buffalo at home. We need them to lose the Philly and Saints games, and that would put them at 7 losses regardless of everything else.

Looking at the schedules, I will say 10 wins would definitely get us a WC berth. 9 may, but isn't considered a guarantee. If we win on Thanksgiving, I like our chances to win 3 of the remaining 5 games, especially since Arizona should be resting their starters in that last game. Have to win at Detroit though, and it's a game that concerns me.

Yeah it may come down to that last game and AZ could very well be resting their starters. So could Minnesota for the Giants game depending if they stay within a game of the Saints.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

The tiebreaker is record within the conference, correct? If so, that could be the deciding factor in our favor.

First is head to head so we have Dallas and don't play Philly, Giants, Eagles or Falcons. Our two toughest games are AFC games (Pitt and Baltimore). Win our NFC games and we're good.

I see us ending up at 9-7 like I predicted before the year... We could be 10-6 though if Arizona decides to sit their starters in the final game.

I think we beat the Lions, Bears, Seahawks and lose to Steelers, Ravens and Cards (Like I said, unless they just don't play their starters).

We're most likely looking at being 8-6 going into the last two games. Seattle is winnable and Zona should have the div wrapped up and resting their guys. Like stated before, take care of business vs the NFC and we should grab one of those wildcard spots.

Not sure why Baltimore is being chalked up as a loss... It's at home and they look far from invincible. Flacco hasn't looked good at all since week 6 in Minnesota. They still don't have receivers, and their defense is good, but not what it has been in the past. That game's a toss-up and I give the Packers the edge being at home.

I agree about Baltimore. They are very beatable. Hell, Pitt just lost to KC.

I think we beat the Ravens. The game at Chicago is going to be a tougher game IMO.

Along with the Ravens game, I'd put the Steelers one in there as well that we may have a shot at winning. They haven't looked all that great lately, hell, have the same record as us at this point too.

While its true that the ravens and the steelers games seem more winnable now than before but there is no way we're going 4-0 in the next stretch. 3-1 and i'll be ecstatic. 2-2 is what im expecting. anything less than that is unacceptable

And who knows if they'll have Polamalu, which completely changes their defense.

Well Tampa and Washington suck for not helping us out... Of course we could be in the WC driving seat had we simply TCOB in Tampa.

Well the Pack essentially control their own destiny after this week, that's all they can ask for. I think if they can win the 2 home games and get 2 of the 3 road games...they should get in for sure. If they're going to lose 2 games, hopefully its the 2 AFC games. 3 losses and its no playoffs.

Seriously could this division be more tailor-made for the Vikings to win it? 3 of the worst offensive lines in football against their top-5 defensive line... And the one team with sufficient talent to compete on the defensive side of the ball decides to play a prevent on 3rd downs all game both times.
