MIN/CHI
MIN in/CHI out:
Loul Deng
Jerome James
MIN out/CHI in:
Kevin Love
Ryan Gomes
Brian Cardinal
CHI clears capspace in the form of Brian Cardinal's expiring and being able to buy out Gomes. They get the PF they want to replace Thomas and pave the way for a run at a LBJ, Wade or JJ.
MIN loses Kevin Love, but clears the redundency of him and Jefferson. They also gain a very good SF in Deng to pair with Jefferson. This deal also eats up a minimum of capspace, as the only expiring they give up is Cardinal's. They would still be a SG and C away from a complete starting line up, but this turns an extra starting PF into a starting SF.

Re: MIN/CHI
CHI fans have the impression that there are teams out there that want to give value for Luol Deng's long contract. To me, while he's played well in 15 games .. it doesn't mean a team wants to gamble he'll keep it up for 500.
I wouldn't give expirings for him and inherit that contract.

Re: MIN/CHI
Replace Love with Brewer and you have a fair deal.
Most here would probably still not do it even with Brewer due to Deng's contract. I would be one of the few that would because I'm skeptical of us signing a free agent next year that would be a better fit/value.

Love is going nowhere, but I agree with Dr.K, replace him with Brewer and it's a solid deal.

Kevin Love > Loul Deng
Not sure how giving up the best player in the trade while taking on the most money makes us better.

Re: MIN/CHI
Easy pass for the Wolves.
Gomes, expirings, and MAYBE Utah's pick for Deng and James(assuming he's being covered by insurance, has he played yet?)
That's the most I'd offer.

Re: MIN/CHI
in Deng's defense, the Deng from this year is closer to the real Deng than last year's version. I'd like him on the team, but not for Love. I'd rather sign Rudy Gay and keep Love. In fact I'd rather sign Outlaw and keep Love. We needs him.

Re: MIN/CHI
Trade Love?
Acquire Donkey from Shrek???
Ah hell no!!!!!!
The only non-PG Bull I like for us is Noah. Now that he's getting along with his teammates and busting out 12-12s nightly, all I can say is McHale is a dufus.
But we already knew that didn't we?

Re: MIN/CHI
I'd love to see Deng on this team, but with his contract, Love is too much to give. Any combo of Gomes, Brewer, expirings, and pick would be a done deal for me.

I'd give Gomes, a pick and expirings. I think thats a fair deal considering how much capspace it would give the Bulls next Summer.

I posted the Deng + Noah for Jefferson trade all but a week ago, and got lambasted by most. Oh, how quickly things change around here. It's too bad though, the way Noah is playing, Noah probably equals Jefferson in terms of trade value these days.
We have to put off any idea of trading Jefferson until he's back to full strength.

well Noah certainly ain't averaging 12 boards a game next to K Love, those are K-Love's boards, you stay away you frizzy haired pot smoking free thinker!
prediction: in 18 months Chicago fans will wish they could get a sniff of Al Jefferson with Noah/Deng

Re: MIN/CHI
Chad Johnson changed his name to Chad Ochocino and suddenly the Bengals are 7-3. I think Al Jefferson needs to change his name to Al Doscinco.

I've actually thought about this and changed my mind. The Wolves do not need quantity, they need quality. Al Jefferson's value didn't drop just because he's coming back from injury. He's clearly lost some strength and has rust, but he's still Al effin' Jefferson. The preseason #2 ranked center behind Dwight Howard. He'll be just fine by the time we need him to be, and we'll have another draft pick next year to go with him. He needs time to add strength and get back to game shape. That's going to happen, so let's keep the most talented guy shall we?
The only real trade for Jefferson that makes sense is getting an upgrade in talent. It does not make sense to downgrade talent to fill a couple holes. We want holes this year, holes are good for draft picks. We will fill those holes with our 2 or 3 1st round picks + cap space next year.

Well you're obviously wrong.
I think 99% would agree Jefferson's value is at an all time low right now. I'm not saying we should trade Jefferson for Noah, I'm saying his value is down because of the injury. We just need to wait until he's back to his old self.
