So we won't have played Stafford at all this year.

This game still scares the hell out of me.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

This game scares me only because the Packers are like Jekyll and Hyde

If Brady Quinn and the Browns can torch the Lions, Aaron Rodgers and company should have no trouble. It won't be a shutout again but I'm confident this team will win by atleast 2 possesions with Stafford our, the dude is legit though. Hopefully the entire secondary can step up their play.

BTW did anyone catch that mascot vs. kids highlight on Sunday countdown with the Gophers mascot (an adult) stiff arming and running over kids? That was hilarious.

If we lose I plan on being too hungover to care.

Actually going to the game, so lets hope for a win. I'm 2-0 at Lambeau this year (Bears and Lions), so hope to keep the streak alive...and hope to make it out of Detroit alive, first time there.

This will be the true test of whether or not the Packers learned anything from the Tampa Bay debacle. I love Jermichael Finley, but I don't want to read any sarcastic tweets from him this week about how close this game is going to be... And Stafford is pretty tough. He's been pretty much assaulted the past two weeks and it hasn't really rattled him.

Welcome to my world after the second Vikings game. It's tough to get up for a team that can't play with the best in their own division.

Along with Stafford, Johnson is doubtful as well.

If neither play, we better win and win big.

As someone mentioned previously I hope we have learned our lesson from the Tampa Bay game and no longer take any team for granted. Hopefully we play the way we have been playing the past 2 weeks and come away with the win on thanksgiving.

* Al Harris and Aaron Kampman are still on the 53-man roster.
* Ahman Green (groin) went through a rehab workout.
* Scott Wells (knee) and Allen Barbre (ankle) did not participate in practice.
* Josh Sitton (back) also rotated in and out as it appeared the Packers wanted to get him a little rest.
* Charles Woodson (hip) and Chad Clifton (knee) got their normal rest after jog-throughs.
* Brad Jones took all the snaps at LOLB.
* Jarrett Bush got most of the work at nickel.
* John Kuhn and Brandon Chillar both continued to work with clubs.
* New CB Josh Bell appears to be pretty quick. A little thin at 5-11 and 177 pounds.
* Wouldn't be surprised if practice squad CB Trevor Ford got signed at some point. He got some work on special teams and defense.
* Got my first look at practice squad QB Mike Reilly. Definitely fits the profile of a Green Bay quarterback. He's got very long arms and big hands. Also looks to be more like 6-4 than 6-3. A bit of a wild, rangy throwing motion. That will need to be tightened. Throws a very tight spiral. Arm strength appears average.

Was Ahman Green active last week because I don't remember ever seeing him on the field.

I trust Bush to do a better job than Ahmad Carrol, though that isn't saying much. Let's see why the Packers seem to have so much faith in this guy.

Green was inactive, they showed him on the sidelines during the game, and mentioned that he injured his groin, during practice I think.

Happy to see Jones is getting all the reps at linebacker. I wonder if the Packers are even going to bring in another linebacker? I kind of anticipated that Obiozor would get signed from the practice squad, but maybe they'll just do two corners between Bell and Ford instead... I guess we still do have some depth at linebacker if another injury happens considering we don't even currently use Bishop or Thompson and Chillar should be back.

The loss of Harris was massive. We've basically been playing Woody as a 3rd safety a lot of the time, covering TEs and roaming all over the place, while also covering the slot at times in the nickel if they aren't asking him to do something else.

Who knows what kind of impact it will have. Harris has been playing a lot of man to man allowing Capers to pretty much scheme the rest of the field to his liking. I don't have faith in Tramon out on an island all game long like I did with Harris, and I don't think our D will be anywhere close to as good as it can be if we play Woody more as a traditional CB than what he's been doing lately. Hopefully Tramon steps up big time, and hopefully whoever takes over as the nickel (and even dime since we've played quite a bit of that the last several games) can do the job.

All that said, its nice to have a team like the Lions to play to hopefully figure some things out.

Honestly am I the only one who thinks the loss of Kampman might actually benefit the team though. He is a great 4-3 DE but he is a horrible 3-4 OLB.

Return to Green Bay Packers
