Translated it means he's getting a 3 year guaranteed deal, after that the team has a year to year option.

How do you figure?

Brady made 16,004,840 last season. With a cap value at 13,828,590.

I dont see that number decreasing either.

brady's deal was 60mill over 6 years with a 14.5 signing bonus.

although, he has 40 mill up front in the first 3 years.

Damn his agents are the same ones that peyton had to get that seven-year, $99.2 million contract that included a record $34.5 million signing bonus and the Bulger deal this offseason for $65 million contract ($27 mil guaranteed)

Back to the topic....

Great job by Dallas for locking Tony up and now they can continue to push forward and build around him.

I think the Cowboys got themselves a good deal. They're not paying much more for Romo than what the Raiders are for Jamarcus Russell over the next 3 years. The deal is also in the range that Alan Faneca is going to look for next spring. He probably won't get that much but I bet he gets $28M upfront and 5 yrs. $52.5M or in that range. So locking up a franchise QB (argue that in the Romo thread) for not significantly more than a franchise G is a good deal to me.
