Recognition keeps piling up for rookie quarterback Matthew Stafford, who was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his Week 11 performance against the Cleveland Browns.

“It’s a huge honor, it’s awesome. I’m really excited,” said Stafford. “I didn’t expect that one but it happened so I’m just thankful. You’ve got to give a lot of credit to the guys catching the ball and blocking in front of me. Without those guys it wouldn’t have happened.”

Stafford threw for 422 yards and five touchdowns in Sunday’s win against the Browns, drawing attention for returning to the game after suffering an injury to his non-throwing shoulder to throw the game-winning touchdown.

He's also up for the FedEx Air Player of the Week and the Pepsi Rookie of the Week. So, go vote on nfl.com.

That should add a lot of confidence to our offense. I'm freaking excited to see this team play next week (when Stafford and Megatron play together again.. not this week against GB)

Schwartz said that neither are ruled out for Thursday. It's "unlikely", but he wants to see how they both feel Thursday.

2-5 with them both on the field.
0-3 when one or the other don't play.

TE- Brandon Pettigrew

Get another receiver and upgrade the O-line a little and that offense can be amazing!!

Now if only Mayhew could build a defense.

Yes it was agianst the Browns. But no one else has put up those types of numbers against the Browns. Hell, no rookie has put up those type of numbers ever, not even against the Lions. I don't think this solidifies his place in the HoF, but it's still quite impressive.

He won over alot of people, including in his lockerroom. Now he can go out there and win some games and make strides without the constant bashing and boos.

I still stand by my prediction of 3 wins this year. Maybe not Thursday, but one of the remaining 6. And next year after building a defense, Lions can maybe win 6 or 7 games if cards fall in their favor.

Also, I know no one commented on it, but Louis Delmas was the Defensive Rookie of the Month to start the year. Not a bad draft afterall, huh?
