Just finished the game.
Really liked both Ibaka and Weaver.
Weaver could very well get the backup PG spot. He doesn't seem too much of a ball handler, but if he's playing in the same time as Harden, he should be fine.
Lots of progress with Ibaka it seems.
I like what Collison brings, but it would be ideal if we could find some minutes too to Ibaka.I'm talking 12 or so a game, not 20 +.
Green needs to stop shooting 3, and go to the post. Maybe he's been discouraged by the fact that no one looks for him in the post, but still..just hanging around at the 3pt line is not good.
I loved the 3rd quarter, good ball movement, easy points for KD,I mean, why can't we play like that every time?Simply because our 3pt shoot won't be falling every time like that. That's why we also have to work on some more ways of scoring the ball.Kevin in the mid post, Green in the post, more cutting by everyone (no one cuts ever in this team, maybe except Thabo a little), P&R in different situation ( with Green or KD as the screeners)...
And I mean, no use of having Westbrook if we don't ever give him a proper iso situation where he can go 1 on 1. Result, sometimes in the game, he decides to go 1 on 1 in a crazy way, and that sucks.
But still, 5-4 on the road; that SWEET.

I'd like to gloat but I'm afraid of jinxing Serge into a 0 for 20 shooting slump.
I did mention this past Summer that Ibaka had a chance to be the best rookie on this team. I think it's safe to say at this point Harden has the edge but it's closer than most in here would have thought.
I wasn't able to catch the game last night because of the fans vote for game of the week. Which sucks.
I like Kyle Weaver. Most people who have been around since last year know I like Weaver. I have felt since last year that he has a chance to grow into a back up PG role. I think pairing him with Harden would be a nice combo. Since they can both bring up the ball and distribute it.
I'd also like to get on my soap box for a moment and say as a long time Seattle Sonics fan I really hope OKC gives Kyle Weaver every opportunity to carve out a role for himself on this roster. Being from Washington it's nice to see a kid who played at WSU on the NBA team that was in Seattle.
