We are already small in size and depth down low, no need to get smaller...talent is similar.

Just researched this...

Gomes 10.4 PPG 6.1 RPG 1.5 APG 1 SPG .1 BPG 1.5 TO
.429 FG% .433 3P% .647 FT% (the FT sampling size is small, it's only 17 shots. Normally he hits 80%+)

Green 14.5 PPG 6.1 RPG 1.5 APG 1.2 SPG .9 BPG 2.1 TO
.426 FG% .328 3P% .809 FT%

I think their games are really similar. Now I'm not saying Gomes = Green, not by a longshot (and Green of course is a lot younger). But it makes me wonder how much would we have to resign Green for and what do we do with Gomes. I would see if we could trade Green to another team.

Overall I think you set up a good package. Without a doubt one of the best trade offers we received on the forum. In fact I hope some of the bad trade trollers reads your proposal. With that said, I think Minnesota should decline. Not because it isn't fair (the value looks alright), but because of our chances in the lottery.

I think Jeff Green is actually taller than Love.

Imposible, you still don't have Rubio's permission. :wavefinger:

I advice you sent some cookies to Rubio's mother and a cuban cigar box to his father. This is called "public relations".

Americans don't understand the european players, they like to control his careers.

Don't need Rubio's permission, although OKC probably would like it before they made a trade for him.

Yes, you need it. Nobody will want sign a player if they don't know if he will decide play at the NBA in the future.

I only try to help you in this trade, I'm only a kind of ... mmm .... cultural adviser.

Good package.

I'd still rather stick with Love/Rubio

I'm sure Rubio want's to play for a winning team that has no decent point guards.

Looking back on this trade, why does OKC do it Durantist? OKC is a likely playoff team, so why would they want to wait 2-3 years for Rubio? I think this trade would be more more likely in a fwe years when Rubio does decide to come over.

Yeah.

I don't want to trade Love, but you can't say no to this package. I'd rather fine a way to make it Al and keep Kevin though.

That would leave us pretty awful up front, but in a way better.
Pg-Westbrook/Flynn/Sessions
SG-Brewer/Westbrook/Ellington
SF-Green/Gomes/Brewer
PF-Al/Green/Card
C-Hollins/Al

Not terrible really, I think Love is the one guy who I don't want to trade at all.

1.It wouldn't take 2-3 years for Rubio to be a better PG than Westbrook. More like half the season to get accustomed to OKC's offensive flow.
2.Yes, OKC is a playoff team but with the talent of Durant, why settle for just another playoff and try to build a year to year Title Contender.
3.KD's game has drastically changed from college to pros. While in college he played alongside DJ Augustine (a true PG), KD was cutting to the basket, pick n rolls, was amazing running the lanes during fastbreaks. Now in the pros the only option KD has is just a down screen for him and he pops up for an Iso on the top of the elbow. If KD had a true PG teamed up with him, we are talking about a 30+ ppg player, and trust me on that number!
4.In order to win a title the secret recipe is to build around your star, and Westbrook and Green just don't compliment KD well.

I'm referring to this. You may have to wait until the 2012-2013 season (2011-2012 at the earliest) to get Rubio.

It's possible he prefer lose money and play in the NBA in 2011 if this is good for his career.

And after watch the today match against Mohntepaschi, Europe will be a small place for Ricky in 2011.

This trade makes no sense Durantist.

Why would OKC trade for Rubio when they passed on him in the draft? If they wanted Rubio that bad they could have taken him and still have Green and Westbrook.

I think it's a fair offer, but I'd say no. If you added Krstic and Hollins to the trade though, that'd be hard to turn down for GM Kahn. I personally would still say no because with K Love all ur rebound r belong 2 us, but imagine how much improved the defense would be w/ Flynn/Westbrook/Green at the 1/2/3, Kahn might like that.
