Hopefully McCown will go after him a bit about "the plan".

Here's the thing:
I understand what AA is trying to do; clearly the club's lack of success is not just attributable to the 40-man roster but the people within the organization. And I get it, it's not necessarily immediately tangible to the Joe fan. But the problem is, who's to say the changes you have made to scouting and coaching will pan out? I feel like AA is trying to rebuild a model that while it didn't fail, it didn't blow anyone away (the Expos/Nationals system). IMO, while that system produced a couple of key guys, the focus was on trades in order to continually build. It's a continuous cycle (see Javier Vasquez for Nick Johnson, Juan Rivera and Randy Choate). Furthermore, it's a very basic uninspired version of Billy Beane's system -- hard to replicate as JP has shown us.
I don't hate AA but he's apart of a system that doesn't work. Instead of trying to sign stopgaps for 1-2 years, put the AAA guys in, save money and conserve. You know you're not going to contend any time soon, why spend? You have two guys in the core in Lind and Hill and a window of 5 years before they both potentially leave. Let the AAA guys get experience and evaluate your assets.

Plus another pick depending on which team he signs to. If it's Boston and they don't add anyone above him, their first.
