Don't look past the fact that you still have a veteran team that can possibly contend this year and for as long as Nash is playing like he is. Of course you want to add young talent as you go, but that's what the draft is for. A guy like Earl Clark was a good pick. Young guy with tons of talent and potential that you can stash away for a later date. For now, guys like Camby who still play at a high level, have experience, a winner's mentality, great length and ability to defend and rebound is what you need to win a title.

Hell, if I were the Suns, I'd look to acquire him around the deadline this year. You guys look great right now, but having a vet like him to help rebound and defend the post in the playoffs (something that has always been this team's downfall) could put you over the edge. As well as Frye is performing, not sure if he can be that guy. If you can't trade for him, why wouldn't you look to sign him on the cheap next season, especially if you fall short in the playoffs? Even if it was for a couple of seasons at 3-4 mil. That type of contract wouldn't cripple you, and as long as your renowned medical staff can keep him healthy, he still has a few seasons left rebounding and blocking shots at a high rate. I wish the Knicks could bring him back and hope they do if we land a max FA this summer.

Camby is also a good passer and has a pretty solid mid-range jumper. Another reason he's perfect for a system like Gentry's and D'Antoni's.

Okay....I'm done promoting Mr. Camby :D
