alright hear me out first before u go off

i know the plan is to get a big name free agent next year but i just dont think thats gonna happen
so why not take a risk for a few years and go for a big time free agent in 2011

so i was thinking of this
bucks trade - 1st round pick(not protected)/Michael Redd/Luke Ridnor/Jodie Meeks
wolves trade - sessions/Blount/Cardinal/Gomes or Brewer

we bascially get another 1st that if the bucks fall we could have a top 10 pick, ridnour a nice pg to have and hes at a good age
meeks could be anything and we finally will have a sg that can shoot lol

im not a big fan but maybe a change of team could do him good

I would be uneasy about a Redd trade where we simply gave expirings. let along a trade where we move an asset (sessions). (I also think there is a CBA restriction on trading a player back to the team that he was signed from if that player was a restricted free agent)

His age and contract make his value almost a negative, if not a neutral. Add his injury history to it and he is a more beat-up/older martin.

redd will be good for a year ,he wont help us much but he might get us a few more wins

im not saying its a good idea i just think we need to make a move cause the players we have dont seem to care cause they wont be around after next year

theres no point of teaching half these players triangle offense for that very reason

ridnour is a very good player who might fit our system more and hes the type of backup you need on a team
and like i said theres a chance the pick might be a lottery pick ,maybe even a top 5 or 10

Ricky Rubio will almost play more games in a wolves uniform next year than Redd if we make this deal.

i was only thinking of keeping redd 1 year than trading him off as a huge exp for something good in 10/11 season for someone after anthony
i just dont see us getting anything this year with so many teams under the cap

If we can't get anyone to take our money in 2010, what will be different in 2011? Might as well just fold the team if we're going to operate like this.

we are trading exp for a player thats why,i guess we could do the same thing end of this season but i just think it would be a lot easier the season after when there not 30 teams trying for top free agents

Redd games played each season
04-05 75
05-06 80
06-07 53
07-08 72
08-09 33
09-10 5 (out of 15)

I'd rather trade better assets for Prince (29), Ariza (24), and/or Gay (23). I would consider signing Mike Miller instead of Redd because it just seems like a more cost efficient move (after getting some decent G/F like I listed earlier). That's of course assuming Mike Miller would be content playing in Minnesota. I bet that would make Kahn look like a genius.

is it possible to get those players though
i would like any of them and if we could get any of them now we should now

I've always been impressed with Bucks fans who are realistic enough to understand that despite his scoring, Michael Redd carries negative trade value. I think this package could have gotten him at any time. However, with the Bucks actually winning some games this season, they may be less inclined to trade him.

Personally, I think Redd would score 25 PPG for us, but with no defense. At his price, it wouldn't be worth winning a few more games. If we want to sell our 2010 cap space for 2011, I think we can do better. The Bucks are one of the few teams that don't need 2010 cap space. They are far enough under the lux to be safe, but not far enough under the cap to do anything.

Its an interesting idea, and I'm glad you posted it.

Redd is finished. I wached the entire Bucks game friday night and I've never seen an NBA player look older and slower. I would rather have Peja Stoyakovich and his bad back than Redd and his faulty legs at this point.
