Timberwolves Draft picks

Post#1 » by canucklife21 » Sun Nov 29, 2009 2:00 pm

just wondering how does the bobcats pick apply to us? yes we have there pick however does this mean we could have two top 10 picks in next years draft? Big Al k love and flynn adding two top 10 picks (turner, Aminu) Other then wall i feel those 2 guys are a need on our roster. also having caproom and that guy named rubio which we could deal.. what do u guys think?

Actually, I think it's top 12 protected. So theoretically, we could have two top fifteen picks... and in this draft, that's not a bad thing.

Lets hope the bobcats crap it out for the rest of the year, so we get two top five picks in this years draft. think of all the possibles.

you shouldn't think too much of it as the pick is top12 protected which means we won't have another top5 pick barring any other transactions.

If the pick gets to late in the lottery we should pay more attention to guys like xavier henry, scotty hopson, elliot williams, kyle singler and lance stephenson?

Pay attention bro, we DON'T get the pick if it is 1-12... anything after we get. So prepare for a pick 13-31 if you are preparing at all.

I don't know too much about Lance stephenson (other than he sounds like a baby), but according to Draftexpress and NBAdraft, he will be a mid second round pick.

Don't we have (if im correct here)

Our #1 pick if within top ten, if 11 or higher it goes to the clippers.
Charlottes #1 if it falls 13 or higher
Utahs #1 if it falls 18 or higher

I am not sure of our #2 picks, can someone fill the rest out for me (and fix mine if its wrong)

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Correct, although I've read conflicting reports on the Utah pick. Some say top 15 others say top 17.

Right now we'd have the 2nd, 16th, and 19th picks in the draft. Turner and Henry would be two great guys to add to the roster. Big SGs, and Henry can shoot. Turner can be the big lead guard in the triangle.

Just say no to Lance Stephenson. He's an over-rated punk.

So does anyone know our 2nd round pick stips?

I think we have 1 right, but its not ours?

Don't we have a MIA and a DAL 2nd rounder? MIA might've been last year, but the DAL one is from the Calethes trade in the last draft.

Yeah your right actually, I think we have Miamis from the CHalmers trade and we have Dallas's from the calathes trade?

And then we traded our own in the atkins deal right?

I found this at realgm.com. If anyone with a few minutes could spell it out for the rest of us, that would be great...I edited out the 1st round picks and 2012 DAL 2nd that we are owed...

Credits

2010 second round draft pick from Houston
Houston's own 2010 2nd round pick to Minnesota [Houston - Minnesota, 2/21/2008]

2010 second round draft pick from Portland
The less favorable of Chicago's 2010 2nd round pick and Portland's own 2010 2nd round pick to Minnesota via Dallas [Dallas - Portland, 6/24/2009; Dallas - Minnesota, 6/25/2009]

Debits

2010 second round draft pick to Philadelphia
Minnesota's own 2010 2nd round pick to Philadelphia (top 55 protected in the 2010 Draft). If Minnesota's own 2010 2nd round pick is in the top 55 picks, then Minnesota's obligations to Philadelphia shall be extinguished. [Minnesota - Philadelphia, 7/9/2008]

2010 second round draft pick to Oklahoma City
The least favorable of Chicago’s own 2010 2nd round pick, Houston’s own 2010 2nd round pick and Portland’s own 2010 2nd round pick to Oklahoma City [Minnesota - Oklahoma City, 7/27/2009]

2010 second round draft pick to Oklahoma City
Minnesota's own 2010 2nd round pick to Oklahoma City (if pick is 31 - 55 in the 2010 Draft). If Minnesota's own 2010 2nd round pick is 56 or worse, then Minnesota shall convey Minnesota's own 2011 2nd round pick to Oklahoma City. [Minnesota - Oklahoma City, 7/27/2009]
