Self Run Lakers Team

"I think we'll talk about that tomorrow, but I'm not that worried about this team's complacency," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. "They're driving themselves and their leadership is good and they drive the players around the team. The big key is that New Jersey is going to win a game and we know that's going to happen because they have talent and they've got young talent and they play hard."

This is exactly what every fan wants to hear. I've been a Lakers fan for a long time and even though I love my Showtime Lakers, I can't deny how fun it has been to watch this Lakers team grow from the Rudy T days to the powerhouse that we are today. Players that drive themselves and know what's at stake. Most players don't care about winning as much as they do money. This team is FULLY FOCUSED MAN!

It's pretty much a different team than the days of Rudy T days, so not sure how it's been watching "This Laker team grow", because it's a completly different Lakers team.

way to take it as literal as you can.

since those days i've seen every player on this current lakers team come together. Farmar being drafted, Bynum being drafted, Sasha being drafted, Lamar was there, Kobe was there, the Pau trade, Ariza trade 2 years ago, artest signing this year, luke was there from the rudy t days.

I never got to see the showtime Lakers come together as a team.

But I have witnessed the birth of another powerhouse and soon to be DYNASTY (this current lakers team)

Don't be so bitter your sorry Suns team could only take advantage of our downfall for 2 years. The Suns will never be THE TEAM in the Pacific Division....that title will always remain to the Lakers.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
